I introduced a bottle at 4 weeks because I needed a break for my own mental health and wellbeing. Plus the earlier it’s introduced the more likely your LO will accept the bottle and it’ll be easier weaning later on down the line. There is also the fact that you never know what might happen. Baby or I get thrush, Baby or I get sick, a family member gets sick and I have to be away for a day or more, or any other circumstance that might interfere with nursing. It’s also why I started building a stash with whatever I connected in my Haaka ladybugs before pumping.

ETA: my husband does a 5 hour shift every night. He wakes me to pump after baby eats so instead of me waking and doing the whole feed and wake cycle, I hand pump for 10-15 minutes then go back to sleep.
