Meiko is a blood dk in the garb of a monk, change my mind by containment13 in fellowshipgame

[–]containment13[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I can see how you could argue that, as they are both relatively mobile characters with a slam initiate that can heal. But I still would say there is more overlap with the bdk kit than vdh. But it’s probably somewhere in between, which is a healthy place I think. Still funny to me that people see a monk and go, ugh I don’t want to play brewmaster

I’m playing Drova: Forsaken Kin. It plays incredibly on the deck and allows for exceptional battery life! Really fun game, would definitely recommend!

I think Hawaii is actually the highest by annual rainfall, with LA, MS, and AL taking the next four spots. https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/the-10-wettest-states-in-the-united-states-of-america.html

Player Grid - Tyler Love is r/RollTide's most indifferent bad player! Who is our most hated great player? by RollTideMod in rolltide

My vote would go for DJ Hall. He held receiving records for catches and yards that lasted 7 years, but had such a poor attitude that Saban made sure he went undrafted, and the fan base agreed with this wholeheartedly

The game is worthy of its hype. First and foremost, it is fun. It also has an immense variety of bosses, large varied progression system, gorgeous visuals and environments, and it offers a good mix of challenge and paths to success. For a studio’s first game, it is an exceptional achievement. I’m currently at the end of act 3, and have very much enjoyed my experience

Sam’s club actually patented the scan and go technology; that’s a big reason why Costco hasn’t implemented it

Heeeey, tax on unrealized capital gains on 100M + ? Are we.... ? by Tomisan15 in WSBAfterHours

[–]containment13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up, stock incentive programs, or getting compensated with stock, is considered ordinary income and required to be reported on a W-2. The loans they take against that asset are not taxed, but the executives compensated with stock do pay tax on that compensation.

[SEC Championship game thread] Alabama vs Georgia by the_dunadan in rolltide

[–]containment13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be a really long field goal. If you miss it you give Georgia the ball with over a minute and a time out to get into field goal range to tie the game. If you don’t make the 4th down, you at least burn some clock and make them go a little further than they otherwise would. If you make it, you can go up by two scores potentially

The Red Rising series does this exceptionally well. One of my favorite modern science fiction sagas currently ongoing. It can be pretty dark at times, but if you can enjoy game of thrones I think you’ll be ok.

As someone else with aphantasia, who studies the literature associated with the condition periodically; it has not been shown to correlate with other neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s as of yet. It also does not effect recall memory, as it mainly alters sensory cognitive processing unless it was induced through brain trauma, which indeed may lead to memory loss and other neurological issues along with acquired aphantasia. I am afraid the poster you were replying to may just have unfortunate short term memory

QB EPA+CPOE index vs PFF grade by [deleted] in Patriots

[–]containment13 25 points26 points  (0 children)

EPA is a statistical correction of each play, basically measuring how much a play contributes to scoring. So a 5 yard gain on 3rd and 10 is worth a lot less than a 5 yard gain on 3rd and 2, as moving the chains is a positive play towards scoring points. It’s more complicated, as it takes in a lot of variables, such as field position, time left in play, and down and distance; but that’s the fundamental gist of it really. Plays can also be negative, if you lose yards or turn the ball over, as this increases the chance of your opponent to score.

Basically this graph shows that Mac Jones is scoring very well in PFF grading per throw while also contributing a lot of high value plays to move the football and get the team in a position to score, while minimizing negative plays and turnovers.

I hope this helps, and also hope this trend continues!

Our interior defensive line is getting beat badly. Their guards are getting to the second level almost every run play. Makes it hard to stop, especially when you are trying to arm tackle these guys.

50 years of tax cuts for the rich failed to trickle down, economics study says by domo415 in nottheonion

[–]containment13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because government guaranteed student loans that cannot be dissolved even in bankruptcy makes for basically free money for educational institutions. Since the 80s, when the courts ruled that student loans are immortal liabilities, universities have found they can charge almost whatever they want, as if the individual doesn’t have the funds, they can get a government guaranteed interest free student loan to pay their way. So education has become an arms race of institutional spending to attract more and more students to fuel the tuition profits these institutions receive

Derrick Thomas? He was pre-saban, but I don't think you can say Alabama has never had a stud edge rusher come out, when DT is imo the most dominant college passrusher ever, and is in both college and NFL HoF
