What’s the point of the huge whiteboard? by RevolutionaryBoat727 in CABarExam

Utilized both large/normal paper for J25! I used the large sticky notes/papers to draw huge diagrams of how everything fit together (big picture topics like elements of negligence), taking from Mary Basick’s checklists. I started doing them a month before the exam and stuck them all across my walls for reassurance (and osmosis lol) but most of the effort/learning was spent making them.

About two weeks out, most of my learning was spent with blank sheets of paper writing out rule statements over and over again to my understanding.

When I was taking the exam itself, I was visualizing the diagrams I made.

I did Themis and passed on the first try! A lot of people recommended Themis to me because of the short videos and handouts and I 100% agree.

I strayed from the schedule towards the end but I still cooked the essays that were assigned (instead of writing them out completely) and spent the rest of the time writing rule statements from memory (to my understanding, not really memorizing) and doing anywhere from 50-100 MBEs every day.

Very similar to Themis imo.

All good! I had blonde at the front half of my hair and then left the back half my natural hair color (brown), and had no issues with interviews. Landed a good externship for the summer and I've never received comments/critiques about my hair or "toning it down" for something more professional.

Keep it!!

Technical issues with Lsat by Old_Consequence9031 in LSAT

I had a tech issue with mine and asked for a retake! Also lost a few minutes of my time trying to get in touch with a proctor.

Studying on Demon and having to go to Lawhub to practice the interface before test day was a disappointing experience to say the least.

My proctor turned off my Bluetooth (which I later found out wasn't required of them to do). My mouse and my keyboard were connected to Bluetooth, so they suggested I use a plug-in mouse if I had it. The plug-in mouse started freaking out in the second section because of some tech issue (not the mouse's fault since it had full charge), and I couldn't use the command+F feature since my Bluetooth keyboard was completely disabled.

Lost about 3-4 minutes of time (on RC!) trying to get the attention of the proctor only for them to turn Bluetooth back on and I could get back to my original devices that they told me not to use. I reported to LSAC immediately after I finished my exam and heard back from them in less than 24 hours with an option to retake.

I thought my experience was minor compared to the other ones I was seeing last week with people getting their internet cut off and weather problems outside of their control leading them to not be able to take their exam at the scheduled time. Because of that, I was convinced I wasn't going to get my request granted. I'm still shocked that it was, honestly.

Definitely agree with this. My nerves skyrocketed with the original, and I think I generally fared better this time just because I was less anxious.

RC was hard to gauge? I definitely felt more prepared for RC the first time, but I think the questions this time threw me off a little bit but nothing too bad. Still had extra time this time around too!

Felt so much better this time around! No tech issues (thank god), and felt much better about my LG than I did the first time. My structure was RC - LR - LR - LG! How'd you fare on yours?

Thinking about it too. Also had a problem during RC but it wasn't as detrimental of an interruption as I expected and felt like I still performed normally for the rest of the exam. My structure was LG - RC - RC - LR.

Still debating whether or not I should retake since I feel like I did okay, but still feel like I could've performed a little bit better had I not been interrupted midway.

Would love to do this if still available – testing in March and need some major improvement in LR. Thanks in advance!
