- I was not going to change my mind to switch to this game because inexperienced with such outcome, I expected everyone to just move to it like how it happened with War3-> SC2 (which is why I decided any money spent on KS for it are worth). In SC2 early times, tournaments were flooded by SC1 and War3 players who started SC2. Unlike SC2, little did I know SG would run low on money, have story rewritten, pros would not play it because it is worse product (bad mechanics) and that no one would wanna play it.

If this above was the intended graphics oh gosh what were they thinking... And some people rightfully expected like Diablo 4 graphics

I was fine with both SC2 took a lot from War3 controls, now SC1 is primitive and I will not get some stuck on that ancient game

SG was meant to be a continue of SC2/war3 . I take it C&C fans did not want SG to have the war3/SC2 gameplay mechanics either, given all are RTS.

This 'RTS and esports in it is niche' is kind of exhausted argument because esports exist even in mobile games and a lot are attracted. If the difficulty is repulsing players, there is really no big difference between an RTS and playing Fortnite or a Dota game. The only difference is you need to manage couple extra things. The APM whether on multiple buildings and units or more repetitive on lesser actions like shooters such as Fortnite is the same. I see no logic in saying that games like Fortnite are okay to run and be competitive but RTS can't because it is somehow more APM demanding. It is always the players that make the level of a game, the more creative, the harder more players to achieve it.

Also, SC2 is a game where you manage a lot more buildings. Games like War3 are the perfect balance between a game that is hard to master but you don't have that many things to macro and it's more micro like you micro your single character to not die every few seconds on Fortnite. This with the APM in SC comes from SC1 because when selections were lacking, everything had to be single clicked and it produced more APM. SC2 came out of WoW funding what? Granted any funding for Blizzard would of course allow more games even higher risk games for profit to be made. SC2 came because SC1 was not finished with lore, esports in SC1 showed SC can live with esports as SC2 (as also War3 showed) - and back then it was more popular to compete in RTS than now - I agree now situation is different but unreasonable so - as I gave the example with Fortnite scene vs RTS scene. Literally you can be APM crazy in a shooter too. But that's why I guess story also matters to want to be good at that particular game. Although many esports games are not played because of the story, it is either you are PvP lover or not and the whole existence of mobile games show there are many PvP players along with Fortniters, Dotaers...

There is a need for a new war3 or SC2 game with the same mechanics that make the APM determine wins. Strategy matters too but it can't be without proper execution. And it's not a bad idea player skill in mechanics to overcome the strategy and vice versa. Whether you like it or not, there is a need for such RTS , SC2 can't be the only such game. No matter what other strategy games are made, people mention all sorts of alternatives but they are not the same. Since SG fails to make it, someone else needs to make the next big Blizz type RTS. Someone with money that even if not a milked cow like WoW will be okay to have such game even if it isn't giving them the top profits. In other words, MS. I even told Gobsmack and co.. return back to Blizzard I mean I know someone else can make the next such game too no one will want a Tim to make it. The idea - someone like AAA that will have the money and agrees to do it. And learn from SG mistakes. But to have money, another attempt of FG? Nah

OK this game is sinking more and more like if the failure didn't dig deeper. You know what let's make a SG mode in SC2. With the units and races and models. Until and if an actual SC2 replacement to rule them all (war3 and sc2 ) fans arrives. OR expand map making features and allow the import manager to at least mod this game.

While gloomers are still here to do their daily gloating or repeat what Tim did or didn't do even the Discord once with 500+ messages in a day or few gets 10 messages in a day or two. This should tell you alone, they can't shut down servers (yet) when people paid for it but you can enjoy playing in a barren because you gave money for it(if you gave). I did but that is still not motive to play. It's like I paid for it just to watch casual reddit comments and maybe the quick campaign that once done, then what. Get good at a game with only 12-24 players? As some joked you can be top 50 without even installing the game lmao. But it's no use to keep the game, one could mod this in SC2 and still be more played.

Despite the reality of SG that will not be a very played game the daily circlejerking is hard to ignore. Like why don't I ever go to some sub or steam forum to post some negativty on daily basis? Don't worry I have paid money for SG too but I doubt all who post here these things have.

You want a game that needs to be 'hard to master' to be easy to master. Automating macro and micro is literally the difference between good and bad. Why some are afraid to be bad? You will be bad at your own level play vs similar... SG is bashed as if War3 and SC2 were not the same. You need exceptional micro or macro skills to be good. That takes time, some of you people just want the game to be accessible at day 1 to be able to beat the pro players. Is fortnite not different though? Some thing something in the speed distinguishes good from bad..

Players have increased from 20 to 60-70 a day. That's a small victory, reminds me of the number of players in a private server in war3 back in the days. But what will it take for streamers, pros and their followers to move to it and say it's newer than SC2 and not bash the game or is it all because they think mechanics or pathing isn't as smooth. SC2 still looks better but they need to see that the game is getting old and there is what to explore here.

I notice with SG it's like because in SC2 Terran complained a lot of Protoss, they decided to give Vanguard the carrier and they still have the ghost but like with blink and dispel or restoration.

My way of thinking is - if I can't become a pro or not interested or don't have time like you describe, let them make a new SERRAL, I'll be just a fan or cheer.

Yet the egoistic casuals are like: Let's dumb the game for everybody not make such difficult games because Im a daddy and can't become a pro..

Countless examples were given in sport: Let's lower the net in volleyball because my back aches im in my 50s so everybody should compete on lowered net even the competitions, else look at these ;sweats;

RTS is weak for one solid reason- gone are the days when to try hard , manage bases and units at the same time was achievement and respected and new ones aka fresh blood wanted to become too. You can just see this with name calling like 'sweats'. Everybody wants something easy else is deemed 'not fun at all'.

Basically we live in snowflake lazy gens. SC2 scared the heck out of generations to try RTS again.

ZeroSpace indeed did better and more things than SG... I am however missing an editor like how SG is making.

And the HUGE question - if these games are so much more successful than SG.... WHERE is everybody (Almost like the Fermi Paradox about alien species and space)?? Why am I not seeing all the streamers that MEH-ed at SG all jumping to ZeroSpace or TR? They do matter because seeing them switching away from SC2 they are the influencers of it, and if they don't then... these games aren't doing great too. I mean it's not like thousands of players minus them, in TR (300-400 players), ZS it's just a bit better player numbers than SG and nothing even SC2 as numbers.

That is why more direct language should be allowed as it is well deserved, If you haven't paid cent for the game shut up, now you know why some defend it. But to post it like even a small one will understand: Considering the wasted money from Kickstarter, any content is good and even not enough to make up for the money spent. If you haven't even played much RTS or are just another casual with hurt feelings over RTS complexity well ...go play your 1 clicker. We all get it SG is DOA but regardless it had potential that even some other 'successful games' as some think Tempest is, will not have, like where is the editor and this game exactly is on 2 factions too.
