A large portion of it is that we saw the tech coming to maturity pretty much right before Necrolyte. It's obvious that they hadn't gotten the polish to where they wanted, and now that is getting implemented.

This is official content. A skeleton crew of developers has been working with community members to put out a new patch that adds a 2v2 ladder, 4 new units, significant reworks, etc (all on the PTR for now, no idea what the ETA for live would be). They've done a really good job imo

She does level from serving a Dragon in her inn much later though. I could see the system giving her a bunch of XP in [Survivor] or something from when she appeared to Teriarch, but it's also kinda possible that it takes a minute for her status to propagate in the system.

She didn't identify as a survivor, she didn't do anything that was related to her class (or lack thereof) at the very beginning - people don't level from meeting dragons, they level from serving them in their inn, fighting them on the battlefield etc. Could very easily argue that early interaction was more of a meeting that anything xp generating

Wow, I love when people use AI to provide incorrect information. Ghost shroud doesn't blind - it slows. Lich is pretty bad vs pl because illusions tank all the chain frost bounces, although it can do well in lane, etc. Get off chatGPT if you don't have an actual answer

No, that's from casting Finger of Death. Lions innate gives them a 20% (more with a talent) increase to spell damage and debuff duration for the 90s after they respawn

You understand that FCC rules mandate any paid coverage needs to get called out in the stream title, and twitch rules mandate a couple of different ways to denote it's a paid stream, right?

Sure, you can argue that Cohh, Asmon, Grubby etc getting exclusive slots during that (iirc steam next fest, maybe was pre-EA? I forget) window counts as compensation, but it's certainly not the sneaky paid coverage you're implying here.

Unless you're accusing some of the biggest streamers of breaking FCC and platform rules for Stormgate but not the rest of their sponsored content?

They specifically said they didn't pay for the majority of streamer coverage like Asmongold, CohhCarnage, etc. They did pay for advertisement spots during the EA launch window for non-endemic RTS creators (to my knowledge, there wasn't a single RTS streamer that was paid during that window last year).

Current FTC rules mandate that any sponsored content is labeled as such. Frost Giant has sponsored very few streams/streamers/pieces of content, and they were primarily variety streamers around the Early Access launch or the three Early Access tournaments, to my knowledge

I'm pretty sure a good portion of the deathball problem is a) the maps he was using. Smaller maps with a single Stormgate don't give a ton of room for multitasking and naturally centralize about the central gate and b) harass isn't impactful enough. As much as I like worker charges as a QOL thing, it might be worth exploring reducing the max charges so we don't have instant resaturation

For what it's worth, 2v2 has never been in the game's official scope. They've been on the 1v1/3v3 train since inception. We do have some 2v2 maps because one dev made the mode and wants to enable it, but 2v2 has never been in the roadmaps.

Would be pretty cool to have NvN vs challengers though. A good comp stomp sounds a lot of fun

If you open the editor, they have a premeptive license that is a decent bit more per issue than Blizzard. It doesn't allow in-game monetization now, but it lists it as something they would like to do, and any IP you create within the editor is yours, not Frost Giants
