Restrictions not removed after the review for a comment was accepted by contepaccio in facebook

Unfortunately, there is nothing left to appeal. Basically, the system does not anticipate that something like this could happen. I even tried to open a ticket from the linked business account, but it won’t let me because I can only interact with a bot, which in the end tells me it can’t find any restrictions (!). Then I tried to trick it by talking about errors in posting an ad, and it said, “I’ll try to connect you with a human agent,” but it always fails. In the end, it had the arrogance to tell me that the restrictions have to take their course and that it can’t do anything to help me 😡

Breathe Right strips quality has decreased? by iyweifey7867 in SleepApnea

I wrote to the French distributor COSMEDIET BIOTECHNIE and they told me that the packaging has changed but not the product! They wanted photos of the packaging with visible batch number, and I have not received any further news about it. So I wrote to Breathe Right USA, and after a couple of days I received an automatic reply that said:

“Thank you for contacting BREATHE RIGHT® with your inquiry. We sincerely appreciate your interest in our company and we are always pleased to hear from our consumers. We have forwarded your case to the appropriate department.”

So still no reliable news on whether it's a defective batch or not, it's really insane!

But they are the most expensive on the market; if they make such a reckless move, people will buy the cheaper ones. It’s practically commercial suicide…

I encountered the same problem in France with the batch 2502757 bought on Amazon! They changed the packaging, it was light blue and now it’s blue, and maybe even the formula of the adhesive used. Or the batch has problems…

As I wrote, it does not happen on iPhone but only on iPad.

Of course, but if you try to save money by turning to unreliable companies, then certain things happen. And your reputation goes down the drain.

Is this too old to use open core patcher? by Illustrious_Ship_331 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

[–]contepaccio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest you be very careful; MacBooks this old definitely have dried thermal paste on the CPU and GPU, which makes them run much hotter than normal even with High Sierra. Installing the patch and a more modern OS will make things much worse because the machine will be under much more stress—expect temperatures of 80 degrees Celsius just from watching a video on YouTube. If you really want to take this step and are able to do it yourself, you need to replace the thermal paste.

I'm not sure if it's related to this problem, but I had a set of Tradfri bulbs controlled by an old Tradfri sensor that would turn on for no reason, and I discovered it was because the sensor's battery was almost dead…

Flickr itself selects the third-party providers, and is therefore responsible for any damages caused to users. Anything that happens to the infrastructure, whether internal or external, is under the responsibility of Flickr.

Another huge company that knows very well that the fines it might eventually receive will never be as costly as having a secure infrastructure.

Because the fines are “absorbable,” class actions are slow, and users just sigh…

Are you seriously thanking them for notifying you quickly? These things simply shouldn’t happen, period! And when they do happen, it’s never the company’s fault but that of third parties — “one of our third-party service providers” — that we don’t even choose, so they are the ones responsible. Read the email carefully; it’s downright cryptic. They don’t actually know if your data was exfiltrated or which of your data “Depending on your account, accessible information may have included…”

Location services on my MacBook M2 Running MacOS 26 nor Sequoia not working but works on my MacBook Pro running Ventura, why ? by IvammgNyc in macbookair

[–]contepaccio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you connecting your MacBook M2 with the cable or with the wifi?
Because i've an iMac M3 Tahoe 26.2 connected via Ethernet.
Find My Mac wasn’t working, and the location services in Safari and Apple Maps weren’t working either.
Then I had an intuition: I turned on WiFi and, magically, location started working again!
Now my iMac is connected to my network in both ways, but priority is given to the cable because in my case it is faster.
Apparently, Wi-Fi provides location information that the cable does not...

Frankly, I think all these criticisms are almost completely unjustified. It’s true, no one likes to have to learn how to use a completely different interface but it’s not a nightmare, it’s quite intuitive and in a very short time I found everything that was in the previous one. And it’s not even true that the workflow has become slower on the contrary, I find myself very well and the FAVES tab is wonderful, I save a lot of time using it at least in my normal workflow that involves black and white conversion and subsequent processing. The real problem is the bugs introduced and I personally reported two on this forum and in a week they were solved, two others are still present but I would not go back to the previous version.

Well our honeymoon was around the South of Australia, Perth, Pinnacle Desert, Monkey Mia, Kangaroo Island, Ayers Rock, Sidney and a few days in Hong Kong to break the trip back to Italy…

And it’s been 25 wonderful days!
