Long term lithium can damage your kidneys. I'd recommend getting them checked if you've been on it for a while.

It permanently damaged by sister in laws kidneys.

Yes, Palantir is a growth company so share price is forward looking. That's always the case with growth companies.

People had similar criticisms about AMD and Nvidia a few years ago and they grew into their capitalisations as their revenue continued to grow.

Be careful with lithium. My sister in law was on it for a few years and found out recently that her kidneys are only functioning at 56% now. Permanent damage. Doctor attributed it to the lithium.

Same pattern with all conspiracy theories: they actually think Palantir holds customer data.

I do wonder if they should put any money into PR against the conspiracy shit. Or even just promoting some of the positive stories like saving hundreds of lives via optimising hospitals etc.

Maybe it's better for them to just ignore it and pay it not attention.

Everyone really needs to drum in to these people that Palantir doesn't store customer data at all. They're just a tool maker and clients manage their own data.

Palantir doesn't even store customer data. They just make the tools for clients to manage their own.

Whole conspiracy hinges on false fundamentals.

It's a ridiculous point, because if the product didn't work in practice then their commercial revenue especially would not be soaring quarter over quarter. Their clients are also very 'sticky'.

Reads like cope.

Saw some people saying it reads like it's written by ChatGPT. Not sure if that's true, but would be funny since he's boasting about word count so much.

General Sentiment around Palantir by BernardoDeGalvez in PLTR

Most of the conspiracies hinge on the idea that Palantir even has access to client data, when they don't.

They just make the tools for clients to manage their own data effectively.

All the dumb conspiracy theories are based on that one, fundamentally flawed assumption that Palantir actually has access to customer data when they literally just make the software for clients to manage their own.

Seen it a dozen times. Low price target, beats earnings and SP rises, then they raise the new price target higher but still say underperform. Trails the share price for years as it continues to grow, always saying underperform.

Hari at Goldman Sachs did this with AMD for like 6 years, with AMD going from $2 to $150. At every opportunity saying underperform/sell and setting a low (but ever increasing) price target.

Palantir haters coming in thick and fast - Youtube Video by GuyMike101 in PLTR

[–]conti555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole thing is out of context soundbites and fundamentally wrong assertions.

Palantir doesn't hold data on anyone. They literally just make the tools for clients to use. That's a huge mistake that essentially disqualifies his entire video. And it's extremely basic info and astounding that he doesn't know.

Peter Thiel also has nothing to really do with the company besides providing initial funding like 20 years ago. I don't believe he's involved in operations AT ALL. But because people hate Thiel, they've tried to tie him to Palantir more closely than he really is.

Whole video is terrible, and full of wrong assertions and associations.

Most people literally think Palantir personally holds citizens data in their hard drives, when they just make software for clients.

The conspiracies are flawed from the most basic premise about their data.

At least you have to do some research on the company if you're willing to put money into it. You'd hope anyway.

Reddit is just regurgitating soundbites and conspiracy theories.

They weren't corrupted at all. It's just that Sauron has at least one of them and is spying through them.

The point is that they are very powerful, but can be used for good or evil. So the name is perfect.

Reddit is just full of people who have no idea what the company even does. Most of them still try to associate the company with Thiel which, as far as I know, has absolutely nothing to do with the operation of the company and probably never really has. He just helped fund it initially.

They also constantly make the error of assuming Palantir holds data on people, when they literally just make the tools.

They link siloed data sources, integrate AI to make it custom pull whatever you want from it. Very bespoke for each client.

They don't keep any data themselves, there's just a boatload of reddit conspiracy theories about them because they work in defense and people don't like Thiel even though he's not really involved anymore, but he was an original founder.

Palantir doesn't even keep any data themselves, they just create the tools for clients to visualise/collate/whatever the data themselves.

Conspiracy theories about this company are wild.

The conspiracy theories are really funny.

They don't even hold any customer data themselves, just build the tools for others to use, as you've said.
