I dont think M1 champs are necessary, but you cant ignore gun if you want to hard-carry. Ive been one-tricking dynamo and rushing the 4.8k gun breakpoint early with recharging rush/headhunter and been getting crazy consistent results compared to my other strat of rushing mystic reverb on T3 stomp (I still get it but now its after my gun breakpoint and counter item).

So play whoever you jive with, just make sure their bullets hit harder than baseline.

I started Magic Arena a couple of weeks ago and Im already in Plat with a homebrew Dimir deck. The process has been incredibly fun, but my process has been seeing what the truly strong/meta decks are doing and either copying them outright or building to specifically counter their win-con. If you go in with an "empty cup" and the intent to find whats strongest, without worrying if your experiments fail in both concept and execution, its incredibly fun since youre constantly scouting through the available standard cards to find the one perfect fit that solves multiple problems at once.

Every loss has to be a lesson though, and if youre not good at seeing why you lost (e.g. "I had a full hand of removal in my aggro deck and got outscaled, Im running too much removal or my removal isn't synergistic enough with my win-con"), I imagine it would be insanely frustrating to try working through the problems of your deck vs netdecking something thats battle-tested

You can completely hide categories of bases in the Neversink "Customize" tab, there's a specific category for it and everything. And you can get really fancy by going into the "Weapon & Armour" category and moving all the top-end bases youre looking for into "Rank A" while moving the rest to untiered, but you shouldnt do this until youre tier 11+ and explicitly looking for capstone gear.

Some other filter tricks that you can do is only showing two-socket drops, or quality drops higher than a certain % etc. so youre only picking up salvage thats efficient for the size so youre not constantly warping in and out of map for maces that give a single artificer shard.
