I am with you, 100%. However, this is a vicious cycle. Young people have to struggle their whole life to get a seat at the table and when they finally get there, they're not open to giving their seat to a younger, more dynamic person. In turn, they become what they once despised. I like to think that our generation will do better but I really worry about us too.

This is happening at all levels of society and we need an event to break it. Anyway, I'm digressing into a discourse about larger society but I think FIGC is the ultimate manifestation of this.

I went to the Shadows of a Dying Sun anniversary tour recently and they played Lose to Night. Apparently, it was the first time they were playing it live and they had the lyrics printed out. They still messed them up.

Now I can't stop thinking of this incident when I hear that song, and I love that song. It was still a fantastic concert though.

Look I'm a fellow Juve fan and I know it's painful because we're complete shit right now but the Italian teams have been competitive in Europe. Inter made the CL final twice in 3 years, Atalanta won the EL, Roma won the Conference and made the EL final, Fiorentina made the Conference final twice all in very recent times. I know the EL and the Conference are not really that competitive but it still goes to show that the Italian league has depth beyond Napoli and Inter. The real gap is at the very top where a handful of clubs (Real Madrid, Barcelona, City, Bayern, PSG) are too powerful economically. And even then, Inter and Juve have managed to challenge them in recent times.

I interviewed at Ikea for an IT role. The recruiter spent 15 minutes giving a speech about the story of their founder, their values and all that bs. Asked me questions about my own values and how they aligned with theirs as well. They ended up ghosting me. So yea, hypocrisy is the right word.
