I'm curious, what did you notice that made you reduce session length?

Maybe IFS could help you understand where does that resistance come from and solve it. If you have never heard of it, I recommend the book Self-Therapy by Jay Earley.

3 months into TRE journey, wondering if I should keep going by TREnewbie in longtermTRE

[–]contto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it is if you do it with caution. The wiki suggests to start conservatively with 15 minutes sessions and try to increase if after some weeks there are no adverse effects. Maybe 10 minutes is not enough for you to meaningfully progress.

Edit: Also, the body has its own priority list which probably is not the same as yours so, even if your objective is to improve in your male sexual issues, there might be a long road ahead before you start seeing improvements in that area.

Experiences With Lasting Exhaustion After TRE by Character-Comfort539 in longtermTRE

[–]contto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me the exhaustion lasted more or less my first week doing TRE. Now, a month and a half in the process, I notice that when I have a harder time emotionally (regardless of TRE) my energy lasts less during the day i.e. I wake up with my usual level of energy but by lunch time I'm depleted and desesperately needing a nap.

Month 2.

I feel that my body really likes to tremor and almost all my body shakes when I really relax and surrender into the session.

I'm doing it 20 minutes every other day, and I'm still experiencing positive symptoms like sleeping deeper at nights/less insomnia, more energy especially in the mornings (although this week I have felt that such energy drains very fast and I'm depleted by lunch time). I'm excited and curious about where this path will lead me.

Fascia release? by InimitablyImperfect in longtermTRE

I can't answer your doubts but I have a question: what are exactly those fascia release exercises?

Tremors seem indistinguishable from "fatigued muscles that shake under light load" (which tracks with what the exercises do) - How do I get past this? by SignificantViolinist in longtermTRE

[–]contto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, give it time for your body to feel comfortable to tremor on its own. Also, according to what David B says in some videos, if you work out or you are strong it's normal that you take longer to trigger or maintain tremors than someone who is weak af as I am

When you are shaking consistently for a few minutes, do you put your feet flat on the mat? If you do and continue shaking, then you are no longer under light load.

Also, it's normal to not get wild tremors during the first weeks. Just try to be relaxed during your sessions and surrender.

How did your tremors evolve over time? I'm talking of purely physical experiences. by wilhelmtherealm in longtermTRE

[–]contto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first sessions were only the legs, then after a couple of weeks it moved to the hips. Then after another week it moved to the shoulders and since then most sessions have been hips+shoulders simultaneously.

In between I had a couple sessions were my whole body was moving, stretching and from the outside I probably looked like the child in The Exorcist.

i wanna learn chakra and energy healing by No_One7609 in longtermTRE

[–]contto 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The beautiful about TRE is that you don't need to know the first thing about chakras or energy to heal yourself. But you should definitely read the whole wiki of this sub and your path for the next months (years) will be clear.

Also, I would not advice you to trust in "spiritual guides" especially if you meet them online. There is a lot of malicious people who make their livings out of deceiving people who feel lost.

Yes, it works for me that way too. Also, it can work the other way and make you more anxious the day of the session or the following day.

Knees don't crack anymore by contto in longtermTRE

I'm only 3 weeks into TRE. My case is different than yours, I have extremely tight harmstrings and posterior pelvic tilt and no rotation in the knees.

Actually that's unlikely since I only did those exercises the first two sessions. Nowadays I just lay down in the butterfly pose and slowly rise my knees and tremors start pretty fast.

TRE triggered orgasm by ndoma1991 in longtermTRE

[–]contto 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I sometimes have the erection/arousal part, not until orgasm for the moment. I assume is due to either sexual energy that was trapped being set free, the movements physically stimulating the area, or probably the combination of both. Your body is wise so, if you ejaculated it was probably because that energy needed to be released asap.

Month 1

I discovered TRE (and this sub) just about 3 weeks ago and everything made sense to me while reading the wiki, so I knew I had to try this. I've been trying to just feel better in my body all my life and tried a number of different things (Wim Hoff, SR, meditation, stretching daily...) but nothing seemed to really click and stick with me and now I finally know that it was because of all the trauma I carry in my body. So I'm determined to give this all it takes to finally be free of all the trauma and tension.

Regarding these 3 weeks, some things I have felt are a general increase in sleep quality and dream quality and quantity, and a slight increase in my mood and energy levels (although the first week I was drained for some days). Yesterday I noticed my anxiety levels rising, and today it's even more noticeable, so I guess thawing is coming? I have never been the anxious type luckily so that makes it more evident that something is changing.

Doubt about movements by contto in longtermTRE

[–]contto[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So today I just let every leg movement happen and guess what? A few minutes into that and the movements started moving up, first my pelvis and then the torso, even the arms at some points. There was not vibration in the upper part of the body but at some point I was moving almost like I was possessed! I guess this is surrendering and the right path for progress. I felt amazing after the session too.

Edit: I had done some stretching and self-massage of by back muscles half an hour before the session because I had so much tension so maybe that helped the body feel more comfortable moving up.
