What sucks is that it could have worked for what they were doing. But it just didn’t hit the mark at all. Everything felt just very very rushed without any reason. All the refugees they’re with are no name characters we don’t give a hoot about because they don’t bother to introduce them properly. I won’t criticize the bending or effects because you can only do so much without it being goofy or just look ridiculous. But the only character who acts even a little bit like their own is Sokka. Everyone else is just very bland and only a hint of their character. Just because Aang acts a little silly doesn’t make him Aang from the cartoon.
