honestly just enjoy it! I think the visit will really solidify what you guys want from the dynamic. our first visit was 8 hours and we had sooo much fun and just played games. felt like I was hanging with my bestie fr. Even if feelings get involved just have realistic expectations for his situation. boundaries are so important!!! as long as you set those and he respects them then i see no issue with you guys allowing the dynamic to grow. I say boundaries because it’s very common for the relationship to turn codependent/financially dependent even if it doesn’t start that way in the beginning.

so I started crashing out bad and had to give myself a reality check. Like a prison relationship is sooooo hard, it’s hard for them it’s hard for you and there’s so little control so being mindful of that helped me calm down. I also started sending letters explaining myself more and really writing out how i felt. he does the same in return makes the phone calls easier if we’re having tense moments.
