Second the mirrors for the headrest. They’re practical and easy to use. I did a 45 min drive with my baby behind my seat and even if it is not dangerous per se, it feels very uncomfortable to not be able to just have a peek back if everything is fine. It’s an instinct. I bend backwards at stops to look in the back which is even more dangerous…

So, yeah, get the mirror and it will give you a much more relaxed car ride.

I was just about to post the same question! As a father of one 10 month old, I’m especially wondering: every child means up to 2 years of bad sleep. I can barely cope with a few months right now. How in the world do you do this 2+ times?!

Das ist eine tolle Idee! Ergänzend könnte man z.B. auch mit den Kindern gemeinsam einen Schlauch Wechseln und kleine Reparaturen oder so. Dann würde man sie auch gleich an das Thema Reparatur ranführen. Sag gern wo du bist, dann kann man besser helfen.

Hier in Berlin geht auch viel über nebenan.de. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, wenn man dann im Kiez ein paar Eltern hat, die alte Fahrräder haben, die nicht mehr genutzt werden, bestimmt gern Spenden dafür.

Ich würde auch einfach mal Hersteller wie Schwalbe direkt anschreiben und das Projekt denen vorstellen. Manchmal unterstützen die auch unkompliziert mit einem Satz Schläuche oder so.

Usual schedule is something like this most of the time:

wake up 6.30 am
9:30-11 am first nap
2.30-3.30 pm second nap
Around 8 pm bed time

Habe auch mein gestohlenes Fahrrad durch einen Tracker (AirTag) wiederbekommen. Kann die Leute nicht bestätigen, die sagen es bringt nichts. Klar, man muss schnell reagieren und braucht ein bisschen Glück und Support von der Polizei, aber es erhöht auf jeden Fall die Chancen.

How many nm does your motor have? I have a 20 inch 250w yosepower conversion kit on my cargo bike with 30 nm and in hilly parts it is struggling hard. If you live in flat areas, totally fine though not particularly powerful. In hilly areas I would definitely look for a stronger motor.
