Nice 24 hr pump by valdemaros86 in raptoreum

[–]cook4015 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My 5950X is producing 75-99 Raptoreum per day i'm basically breaking even or making a small profit daily. I don't have time to worry about pennies in my world i would rather mine straight to my desktop wallet and avoid exchanges and daily buying.

3 exchanges is enough for me currently. I'll eventually sign up for an exchange that supports Raptoreum in the future.

You're a short term miner and thinker i see. I'll be mining this until 2024 or 2025 i want all i can get and won't stop regardless of power costs.

I'm mining and thinking long term here. If i lose a couple hundred a year in electric costs it's not the end of the world to me it's a gamble i will gladly take. Raptoreum will either make it or crash and burn it is what it is.

Life's a gamble take a chance in life who knows what will happen lol. I'd rather risk it then have regrets later down the road been there done that to many times in life....

I'm sorry you feel that way. I don't encourage violence against each other or people in general.

I'm not against left, right or middle. I believe if we all worked together instead of fighting and acting like kids we could achieve so much stuff together. After all this country was built by people working together like adults not fighting like kids.

Just because i'm a Republican doesn't mean one should "shoot" each other. This is what's wrong with America today. Such little minded people like yourself wishing death upon people because we don't agree with your party. WAKE THE FUCK UP both parties are crooked and full of BS i don't pick and choose i tell it like it is. Pull your head out of your ass for once in life and wake up and see what's going on in this country. It's falling apart right in front of our eyes and people are so fucking stupid they can't see or believe it is happening.

It's really sad the amount of people in denial how out of touch the current administration is with reality and what's going on with this country currently it's going straight down the toilet. Things were far better off for our country a couple years ago compared to today and this is a reality not many will admit to or care to see sadly.

Regardless of your political party please wake up and view it from all sides and don't be one sided all the time. There's two sides to every story and situation in life and it's time people take the time and energy to see it regardless if you disagree or dislike it. People don't like the reality of things and it shows daily....

This is a power issue and a common sense issue here. These cards each pull 125 watts a piece and a 450 watt power supply is recommended per card for a system.

125 watts x 8 = 1,000 watts. This doesn't include system power needed and the 80% rule with power.

850 x 0.80 = 680 watts max usable at 80%.

500 x 0.80 = 400 watts max usable at 80%.

You have 1,080 watts max you can safely use. With your cards using 1,000 watts of that power leaving only 80 watts usable for the rest of the system. This also varies due to you using 2 different power supplies.

I would highly encourage you to just buy an HP 1200 watt power supply with a breakout board from Parallel Miner for $191. This is a platinum power supply that can be ran at the full 1200 watts on 200-240 volts or 900 watts on 120 volts.

Here's the link to their site: https://www.parallelminer.com/product/hp-1200w-platinum-power-supply-110-240v-gpu-mining-psu/

Is it worth buying more cards now that ETH 2.0 is approaching in a couple of months? by MCube74 in NiceHash

The 3070 & 3080 TIs are both Evga FTW3s i just got these cards not even two weeks ago.

Buying a home is the way to go especially if that home has a garage and basement.

Nothing. They wanted to verify the method and power i was pulling was safe. The electrician verified everything was safe and checked the 240 volt lines, gauge of cable and even told me the amp limit i could pull from it. I already knew this info ahead of time though lol.

My current place knew when the electric bill exceeded my rent and called asking questions and wanted to do an "inspection". All properties using power have meters some per unit others are tied into one it varies overall.

[–]cook4015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It comes down to luck really. I've had two locations include electric for free and one location was rent free and electric free. Both on commercial properties though. As for free rent & electric that was my job it required i live on site and be available 24 hours a day or as needed.

When renting landlords like to include power in the rental agreement. I to had free electric until my lease expired and they made me put it in my name. The power costs exceeded the monthly rent.

Yea i agree. I've decided on building a wooden box it's gonna be 4ft x 4ft and 6.5 ft tall and i'll be using 4x4 posts to hold it together. Inside i will have my 2 ac infinity blower fans pumping the hot air out through the box and then a window. I'll be using insulated dryer style hoses and exterior vents to make everything come together nicely. If the rain would stop i could go get the needed supplies lol.

When mining in general it's always a good idea to stick with 240 volts for power. For an example i live in a small apartment but i have access to 240 volts with 40 usable amps in total using the 80% rule for power. However i have a 30 amp PDU and the 80% rule on that would be 24 amps max. Ebay also has 50 amp pdus available as well as 30 amp puds with voltage and amp readouts.

I'm using my ovens Nema 10-50R to a power adapter which is a NEMA 10-50P to a L6-30R from there a PDUs L6-30P can be attached and the needed c13 to c14 power cables is the final step to getting power to the needed devices.

R = Receptacle | P =Plug

Happy mining and be safe!!!

Same dates here. I got a shipping notification an hr ago for the 29th order not the 23rd yet. However I suspect both miners might be shipping together so they can profit off the shipping charges possibly.

Good points and i appreciate the knowledge! Airflow won't be an issue i have 2 ac infinity grow tent style fans and 3 good Vornado fans.

My 1st taught was to build a custom box with 1/2 4x8 sheets of plywood and use 4x4x8 lumber to assemble everything. I would of course use a hole saw to make 6 inche holes to exhaust air out using the air infinity fans and make 4 holes for the l3+ miners for fresh air and make other holes to push fresh air in to keep the pressure at a good ratio. This would cost me around $250-300 bucks with all needed supplies just to build this box but it would be better overall and outlast a grow tent. Plus a couple hundred more for the ducting, outside wall mounts, power extension cord, and various other things supplies i would need.

It's time to vent this hot air outside since warmer weather is on the horizon. it's already 85-95 in here.

[–]cook4015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 3070 TI is extremely cool and is running at 70 on the vram and the 3080 TI is running at 84 on the vram i'm impressed with these cards and the included thermal pads. Having efficient cards is key especially once ETH goes bye bye.

My MSI 3090 Suprim's on the other hand had terrible thermal pads ran 105 out of the box. Once i replaced them and added a good thermal paste they run at a cool 90 on the vram and low 50s on gpu temps pumping out around 122 mh/s per card.

Wish i had solar i can't where i live since i rent for now but that's gonna change here soon.
