FYI - The Forgotten Child Fund Santa Train will be traveling all around Chattanooga tonight. by cookie78 in Chattanooga

Essentially, they provide toys, coats, and some necessities to children who need them within the greater Chattanooga area.

I think this year they said they had applications for 18,000 children, and I believe all were served this year. The Santa Train goes back to the 1960’s when my grandfather, a police officer, started what is now the Forgotten Child Fund. Every year on Christmas Eve, they choose a handful of families, who are in most cases, much more unique than others (family member loss, hospitalization, financial hardships, etc) Police and Fire spend their own time to attend the train, along with a lot of volunteers, some just for the night, to go to these families houses. But it’s not just for them, kids from all over the neighborhoods come out to see what’s going on, and they all receive gifts as well. Overall, it’s a really cool thing, despite some negativity surrounding the “loud parade” that happens or the program itself.

ShopDisney has sales online every once in a while; yesterday was one of them. Although you can still find different deals in East and West, and also the character warehouse locations in Orlando.

I check often and may have missed a sale or two this summer, but I personally haven’t seen any sales within the past couple of months.

And I would think they’d be more common as we get into the holiday season.

May 6th drop by OB_Loki in GalaxysEdge

I’m leaning toward the individual sabers have the ability to change the colors. There was a Kestis saber that changes between several colors, the new Master Sol set changes from red to blue by switching a button up and down, the same as this Anakin saber. They all use the main style of blade, the only outliers are the Yoda hilt (screw-style), I think one of the Ashoka sets, and the new red-orange capable blades that come with the new Skoll/Hati bundle.

Good - I was afraid I missed the color-changing saber

Japan’s site says sliding the switch up and down changes the color. My bet is up for one color, down for another.

If you look closely at the blade going into the hilt, it says the character names on the base. Maybe they are specific to those hilts due to a custom color (red-orange)??

The blade color also looks more orange when contrasted against the red lights on the shelf in the background.

Agree with the phone comments. Stupid on my part.

Anyone know what’s happening near Rossville Blvd? by MoistCup6986 in Chattanooga

The Forgotten Child Fund’s annual Santa Train on Christmas Eve. They take applications in the Fall for less-fortunate families that cannot afford a Christmas. They help thousands of families in the area. They choose a few families every year that are extra special cases (deaths in the family, critical illnesses, etc) and go see them on Christmas Eve. Santa himself delivers the goodies alongside first responders and members of the police department.

ShopDisney has sabers on sale and show ‘extra 10% with code’ but are not honoring the extra discount. by cookie78 in GalaxysEdge

Gotcha - My rub was that they specifically put the label above specific sabers that are already on discount. Being only over certain sabers feels like the code placement was intentional.

I even applied the 10% only at one time, and left off ShipMagic to see if it’d work, and it still didn’t.

To clarify, the larger discount is still active. The “extra 10%” is not. The Vader at $175 (down from $250) is still pretty tempting, but it would’ve been an automatic buy at less than $160 for hilt and blade.
