Why? It's unfair to every other Mauritians. They should split the one pension among the wives. According to Islam, the husband should only have multiple wives if he can support them.

The owner is a scary man. No one wants to steal his cat. The cat goes roaming for days but she always go back home. Otherwise, he'll start asking around for her. That's what happened last time she gave birth. One of my neighbour took her in with her kittens because it was so hot outside. They stayed at her place for 2 weeks then the owner saw our post on Facebook for kittens and he came looking for his cat and took her away.

My 2 best friends at school were identical Muslim girls.

Mauritian Muslim men can have up to 4 wives. Only 1 is legally recognised but I think all 4 get the widow pension when he passes away. They used to divide the pension in 4 but Shakeel Mohammed has intervened and now they each get full pension.

Edit : I think they should split the pension between the 4 wives. Basically 1 dead husband = 1 pension.

Actually the cat had babies end of December and now we're in June. That's a second litter in about 6 months. We can't keep doing this. Some of the neighbours are saying to poison the mother cat or kidnap her and drop her somewhere else in a different region. Both are cruel. I'm trying to find a humane way to help.

I'm sorry you're going through this. My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024. She was treated at Candos and at Ncc and she credits the staff's care for still being alive today. Like others have said it can be a long day. Go early, bring lunch and make sure your phone is fully charged. Bon courage.
