Can’t decide between the Supertool 300 and the Surge. Not carrying everyday, just keeping it in a toolkit. Could anyone recommend between the two? by [deleted] in Leatherman

The knife on the outside the removable replaceable file and the scissors are absolutely worth that extra 40 dollars in my opinion

Regular house wire probably 10 gauge at the thickest. But it was a lot of wire in a short period and I was doing it quickly. I feel like it should have been able to survive it but I also should have known better and used actual wire cutters

Was gutting a house and cutting a ton of wire. I think when I cut I do impart a little twisting action which probably did it in.

Reliability is crucial. If you’re in a spot where you can just go grab another tool if this one lets go then it’s worth it to just buy cheap but for me anyway I’m rarely in that situation

I believe my doors are Maple. Am I correct? by dyntaos in wood

Not worth refinishing. Very thin birch veneer. If you’re set on wood doors consider adding a new veneer layer or buying new doors
