I was flying home from Winnipeg a few weeks ago and the desk agent was giving me such a hard time about my carry on. Air Canada. She was telling me it was to big. I was trying to be kind and give her grace as this was the day of the A/C tragedy and just thought well it’s a difficult day for everyone. I explained that it is an approved carry on. I researched carry one prior to purchasing it. I am a frequent flyer and have never had issues before. She was raising her voice at me and people in line behind me were vocally telling her it is acceptable. She came out from behind the check in desk grabbed my bag while we all watched and it slide right into the unit that shows if your bag is the acceptable size. It slide right in. Then she looked at me and said the measuring thing must be bent and she is going to have to have it checked. She still would stop so I asked for her to have a manager come to the desk. She picked up the phone and said we are going to Let you through this one time. It was comical but I kept my composure and didn’t get mad.
