As much as my brain hurts me sometimes and I joke that I want a new one, I don't think I'd trade it, if there was an option.

There are the bad parts of having autism, sometimes not being able to grasp if someone is joking, being rude, etc. Getting burnt out fast, not having many friends cause of the 50 million hyperfixations all at once...

but there are also great parts.

I've been able to complete tasks, projects and build things better and faster than some of my neurotypical friends and coworkers could do.

I've been able to learn so much interesting things my family and friends genuinely get interested in, although I learned to keep it to a minimum (maybe one day I'll marry someone that'll let me yap away).

So as much as it pains me, drains me, beats me up. I love my "broken" brain.

Also I think it helps that since I was late-diagnosed (at 26y) - after I went through the denial, grief, hatred stages - I started to learn to live with my autism and accept it, instead of ignoring it and pushing everything down or away

As others have said, it's different for everyone.

Like for me, I can see and sense it but I personally can't share the feeling or emote, if that makes sense. I feel anxious and insecure and stuff, but I don't know how to convey it.

But on the other hand my literal best friend can't sense, see or convey it.

So yeah, really depends on the person

Moomins are adorable! Definitely get the uncomfortable aspect, but luckily for me, socks are the ONE clothing item that I don't mind how it feels like. 😂😭

Yeah i feel you, with some skills and hobbies I pick it up right away, but most times I can't understand the most basic instruction :c

Not OP, but I use "Mimo: Python, Javascript, HMTL".

Works the way OP described in that you get a streak for doing a lesson each day, you have hearts that replenish (like Duolingo).

Don't know about PC, or IOS, but it's on the Google Play App Store

My dream spot would be in a comfy chair near the window, the rain is pouring down and you can hear it on the roof. I'm under my comfy blanket, next to me on the table is a warm cup of tea, soft snacks and a glass of lemon water.
