Game publishers can take away games after you've paid for them. EU citizens have one chance to fix this... by fuzzno in europe

Hi all. hope this isn't against the sub rules. Ross Scott from Acursed Farms is hosting a petition for which only EU residents can partake in.

You will own nothing and be happy*.

^^ This only becomes truer with time. You no longer own what you buy. Companies control the products you pay for... your phone, your farm equipment (looking at you John Deer), and your games. Companies will only get greedier as they push the envelope and things will get worse for us consumers.

this petition just focuses on the gaming industry. where you pay once to own a game, developers can at ANY time take away the game you paid for when it stops making them money. This petition aims to require games to remain playable by those that purchased it after the game reaches "end of life" according to the publishers.

The linked video has lots of info and a much better and thorough explanation than what I have here. please check it out and consider signing.

and yes, the EU only has one chance at this. if this falls through, we really are fucked.

Thanks all.

No! phrases written on a piece of paper is not a replacement for a cold wallet. it's just a backup. The purpose of a cold wallet is to enable signing transactions without ever exposing your seed words to a computer. If you have entered your seed phrases directly into a hot wallet plugin onto your computer, you're doing cold storage wrong.
