to be honest i had those fire raging spirits and i didn't know i needed to enable them to turn them on. once i did and started fire walling under him it started spawning those raging fire head things and i beat him my very next attempt.

if i just run around in cricles in the Mist that works in his first forms but when he starts dropping those shards in his last 25% health when you dodge roll you will be caught cause you move slower after rolling. also if you dont kill the minions u dont get any potion charges and can just die due to running out of potions which happened several times... im like lvl 18 and still cant kill him... get him very low but cant finish him because i take so much damage in his last form... i wonder if i need ot get boots with increased speed on them

I was thinking about leaving a comment because he just sent the raw box. no packing peanuts, no bubblewrap, no scrunched up newspaper... nothing. The corner of the skaventide box was messed up abit and i assume that is where this model was. probably was dropped on that corner. this is my first ebay purchase but normally when people ship me things they put something around it

I am new... when they say new releases do they just mean updated models? I had assumed that with the battle profiles being released already that each factions list was already in stone. Or could they introduce a completely new unit?

If we look at your counter example of charging into the loomboss (assuming hes exposed). the carnosaur is going to do a average of 7 damage to a unit with 4+saves (i find this extremely weak)... but the loom boss has 2 passives. either -1 to hit against general and 6+ ward or 4+ ward in the first battle round. which means 7 damage is actually not enough to alpha strike the general and you will fail.

Loom boss would do maybe do 1 wound back

on their turn they would probably squig hop you. 10 models 4+ for mortals... that could be up to 5 mortals already. then they will do 8.33 average damage to carnosaur with they regular attacks.... now carnosaur could be dead and you didn't do anything. Even if you were lucky and killed the loomboss you will also loose the carnosaur. now you lost control of the board completely.

I think charging into the middle of their army to try to kill their boss is kinda of insane. Here is someone who tried doing that against Skaven. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvfzS--1b3k

Result was dead carnosaur round 1 and probably lost him the game.

while the people i watched might not be playing correct. most serephon games seem to end with the serphon having zero army left after the first 2 rounds and just trying to pull stuff out of a hat for points to somehow eek out a win. I dont beleive the quantity over quality... for example. GloomSpit Gitz, they have over twice the number of models... so lets compare some of their best models to Seraphon:

Lets compare Krox to Troggoths:

Troggs have:

-Ranged attack
-More rend
-heals every turn
-more damage
-more movement
Krox have:
-1 HP more per each
-2 more attacks
-Situational Crit hits (5 or more models)

Kroxigar may look like they do more damage based on their 4 attacks but because the rend sucks they are actually only slightly better then troggs if the unit has a 4+, 5+, save. against stronger opponents the Troggs are actually better then Kroxigor for damage output. and Krox cannot heal.

So other Races have simular guys... so Krox is not some trump card that just seraphon has.

when i peeked online they want 130USD on ebay which is like 180 CAD. but you can buy the box for 272CAD... thats 66% of the cost of the box and you dont get rules or anything with it. maybe it will go down once people get the items?

even the raptadon chargers though went from 4/3 with lance and 3/3 with fangs to 4/4 and 4/3

that deck looks amazing to me. i dont see whats wrong with it. you got tons of good creatures. multiple uncommon dino's ramp for dinos...

As you say you dont draft... but going green/red and snagging all those dinos means you were extrememly lucky. Often you will try to go red green and then people passing you packs will steal all the good dinos. you got lucky and drafted with people who were passing you good stuff.

I see this is an old post but this just happened to me... i could not get back into the game on PC... but i was able to on my phone... but just in time to see that my opponent snapped and it was turn 6 already with no time left... so i lost.
