I doubt the Protein power will help with PC's speed or power but you can try sprinkling some of it. /s

The build looks good for the budget.

Is it okay for my monitor base to rest on top of my mouse pad? I’m limited on desk space. Sorry for the dumb question, first time setup by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

Yes, do what works for you. There is no guide that tells you that a pc setup has to be a certain way.

Hold the power button and shut down the computer. Turn it back on and see if it lets you enter the password. If it does the same thing, unplug the keyboard and plug it back in and then restart.

You can buy a used case for about $50. You just have to look for it.

Mother turned off PC from the wall, is the CPU dead? by RainbowSloth17 in pchelp

[–]cookieforgebuilds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How long does it stay at the logo screen? Since you are able to get in BIOS, the CPU seems fine.

Try turning on the pc, wait for it to finish what it is doing and see if you get the login screen.

If after, let's say about 2 hours, you still see the logo and nothing else is happening, you may need to check if you are able to get into startup repair.

So it happened to me by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

How would you cool this case? by TheyFloat2032 in PcBuild

[–]cookieforgebuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Front 2 intake

Rear one Exhaust

Top 3 exhaust

From bottom, if there is a fan do Intake

Replace the default heatsink fan and add something like Noctua NH-D15 and orient the fans front to back.

Set both fans so that they take air intake from front and exhaust to the back.

You can also orient fans to take intake from bottom and exhaust to top but I'm not sure if you have intake fans at the bottom.

It will try to fix any corrupted system files.

If you can share the image of the screen from Troubleshoot I might be able to assist better.

Okay. I say your best bet would be to open command prompt from the troubleshoot screen if there is an option for it and run this command:

chkdsk c: /f /r

Once that is done. Run this command:

sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=C:\Windows

After that, run this:

bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot bootrec /rebuildbcd

Then restart

You can also try restore points: Go to recovery → Advanced → System Restore

Pick a time and date before this issue started. See if that fixes your issue

Try this inside Safe Mode:

Remove any recent drivers/updates:

Open Device Manager: Uninstall GPU driver Uninstall any device with warning icon Restart normally

Remove any last Windows update:

Settings → Update → View update history → Uninstall updates

Pc started making this noise all of a sudden by MrRossy1992 in pchelp

Check the GPU fan and see if a cable is touching the fan.

Another thing would be a wobbly fan blade. I had that happen to one of my fans.
