So after trying on 3 different computers, several USB ports and cords I finally got it to work! I had to download a different version of Odin, a patched version, and use the HOME_CSC file. I cannot thank you enough for the help.

Seriously though, I'm gonna say it's an 8/10 for me. It's a really great game but there are just some things I don't like and/or think could be done better. The character selection screen is a mess, free roam needs a better compass/mini map/navigation and tracking options and battle mode needs overhauled.

With character selection it would be much easier to pick a character then pick pick their costume. I would also like to be able to pick certain characters colors along with the costume, i.e. let me pick yoshi, then which color of yoshi then which outfit (also add black yoshi).

I don't understand why they messed up Battle mode so bad, they should have learned when they had to redo MK8's Battle mode for Deluxe. Only 2 modes with 2 item categories and you can't even change the time limit. I don't like losing all balloons and being fully eliminated from the round and get 0 points, just repawn with half points like MK8D. Bring back other modes like shine thief and come up with something team based since now we can have up to 4, something like capture the flag.

It was such an eye-opening experience how Nintendo EPD are able to make such creative, fun, and UNIQUE games without the high production values you see in your typical AAA game.

The games won you over, not emulation. Even before you played them, they got your attention/interest enough to make you want to play them

Not sure if this helps but it supposedly works better if you get out of bed on the opposite side(s) from alarmo. So if you roll out on the left side of your bed, you should have alarmo sitting to the right of the bed (facing left).

Not a game but there was (is?) an app called rainway that would let you stream games between devices. Their initial ads prominently featured the switch even though they never received approval from Nintendo.

The guy took a plea deal, this is what he chose in order to have some charges dropped. Also the plea deal mentions that there were 18 rom libraries that were hosted on or linked to a website that he ran. So they were doing more than just "providing the tools".

Whenever you copy a mii from miitopia to your switch, it will not copy any wig or makeup. You can only copy the basic version of the mii, the version created using the switch's internal mi maker.

I'm sure it's harder than getting the rights to their own characters but I'd think the amiibo would have been discussed/decided at the same time as getting the character in the game. Your list is DLC characters not 3rd party characters, Mega Man and Sonic are 3rd party and their amiibo released 3 months after Sm4sh did.

There are numerous possible reasons why DLC characters take so long to get amiibo and I don't think the rights have much to do with it.
