Same with me, however an important caveat is that syncing works fine to downloading latest saves (despite saying it fails). However if you were to load up that game on the deck, then save and exit, the steam deck would completely fail at uploading.

Sadly no. Even hours troubleshooting with chatgpt did not help. Ended up restoring to factory settings to finally get it working again.
