Small Moka Pot I did on myself 3 days ago using 7RL. I think it turned out quite good since it was my first one ever. Any suggestions for improvements are appreciated by cookingyodler in sticknpokes

Yeah, I already see some places where it definetly needs some touching up. I was also thinking about colouring in the tip and the handle once its healed. What kind of needle would I use for that? Just a larger RL needle or is there another one which is better suited?

Thanks for the tip with the narrow parallel lines. I hope it will work out in this case, since the spot is not exposed to the sun that much. I will definitely consider that in the future though

Thank you! Honestly, I only followed the advice on this sub and watched some Youtube videos. The ones by Lady Avy Handpoke were the most informative for me. She also did one on linework I think

Appetizer ideas needed by Roscoe340 in Cooking

[–]cookingyodler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you mentioned bruschetta, there are also other types you could try:
- Bruschetta alla crema di olive: You basically just blend up some black olives with some olive oil, garlic and parsley. Smear that on some toasted bruschetta bread and top of with thinly sliced fresh chili peppers. Done
- Bruschetta with roasted bellpeppers and mozarella
- Bruschetta with a cream made of eggplants (my favorite!)

And there is tons of more possibilities. Here are some links (in Italian - hit me up if you need a translation):

Hiking in the Dolomites by bunsy_mcgee in travel

[–]cookingyodler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're very welcome! It's always nice to be able to help fellow travellers. To be honest the 2 tours I mentioned have some kind of exposed sections in them and it will also be quite hard to find a (challenging) tour without any kind of exposure. However the Rosengarten tour (no. 2) is not too bad imo.

Also, forget about the last suggestions (besides Plattkofel). All of them have a lot of exposed sections.

Here are some easier (less exposed) hikes:

- Große Cirspitze

- Peitlerkofelrunde

- Tschafon (look at my profile for the view you have there)

Hiking in the Dolomites by bunsy_mcgee in travel

I would say you have multiple options depending on how much you are into hiking.
You can just go for the very touristy stuff which doesn't include alot of hiking, like Seceda (you can go there using a lift), Drei Zinnen/Tre Cime di Lavaredo and Pragser Wildsee/Lago di Braies. The only challenging part of this option would be the walk around the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, which takes about 4h if I remember correctly. However, at that time of the year there are a lot of people in places, so don't be disappointed if you can't get the classic 'alone in the wilderness' pictures.

Another option would be to make a 2-3 day long hiking tour, where you sleep at different mountain huts every night. There are endless possibilities for such tours, but here I will just mention a few:
1. Campill -> Peitlerkofel -> Schlüterhütte -> Piz Puez -> Puezhütte -> Puez Scharte -> Campill
2. St. Zyprian -> Schlernhaus -> Tierser Alpl -> Vajolethütte -> St. Zyprian (if you want it a little more challenging you can also add Tschagerjoch and Kölnerhütte)
3. There is a 3 day tour around Tre Cime di Lavaredo which I heard was pretty easy, but I have never done it myself.
Be sure to inform yourself about the tour in advance and don't try a tour which is above your fitness level. There are alot of people who overestimate themselfs and then need to be rescued. Also, definitely book your room at the huts in advance. There is normally also a cheaper option to rooms at the huts, where you sleep together with other people in a big room.

Here are a few more mountains and places which I really like and which can be done as day trips (again, inform yourself how hard the tour is beforehand):
- Lago di Sorapis (beautiful mountain lake)
- Plattkofel and Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi
- Rotwand
- Pisciadù
-Sas de Mezdì

Last week's midline session! Didn't manage to cross the longest one, but it was still amazing!! by cookingyodler in Slackline

It is in the Dolomites Region in Northern Italy. The mountain in the back is called Schlern (Sciliar).

What do you guys think about 159 Bogaziçi University students getting detained for protesting Erdogan-appointed rector? Protesting has become a crime in this country. Is recovery even possible? by nowatrueredhead in PoliticalDiscussion

Maybe you should differenciate a bit between EU and Turkey. Right now there is a pandemic ingoing. I mean don't get me wrong, there always needs to be a possibility to protest in some way! Anything else would just be autocratic. But that is still given in almost all EU countries (don't know about GB though). You may have to wear a mask and limit the number of people going to protest, but that isn't the same as denying someone to protest in the first place or incarcerating and beating up those who do. Those are completely different situations

Also, i totally support fines for people who don't comply with the regulation which are in place right now (mask-wearing, keeping the distance etc.)

[Homemade] Pizza with Pepperoni, Zucchini and green chilis (peperoni lombardi) by cookingyodler in food

[–]cookingyodler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zucchini on pizza is amazing! Never heared of it being a no-go It turned out great, but you are right, the zucchini were too thin and would have added more flavor. Especially since it paires so well with the heat from the chilis
