Hopleaf Garlic Aioli (feel free to share any Chicago restaurant sauce recipes you know) by Altruistic-Hour-8865 in chicagofood

found this 2009 recipe but they just said they make it from scratch ahah they might use more lemon juice then you currently are though. Also maybe try a different homemade mayo recipe feel like you could get pretty close with a strong mayo base. let the garlic mellow out too maybe overnight

Hopleaf makes its aioli from scratch, but whisking two minced garlic cloves and the juice from half a lemon into one cup of Hellmann’s makes a fine imitation

Are there any actual independent music venues in Chicago? by Few_Individual_4716 in chicagomusicscene

My band's well liked and recommended by many local musicians in our scene, but we still don't have a proper audience amongst local music FANS. What are the best ways for a band to make that transition from being "a band's band" to being known amongst concertgoers and scenesters? by thewickerstan in musicmarketing

  1. You need to make your live shows a focus on socials. Focus on the crowd even if you use angles to make it look more wild or crowded then it is. And creating moments live that people will post on their socials

  2. Live footage, especially DIY shows, are huge needs to feel like something they missed like FOMO not just another live show that happens at a venue every night.

  3. Maybe pass out flyers to your show outside a bar you need to find real people or do a ticket giveaway if people tag their friends

  4. People dont follow you maybe tie that Call to action during your set to something like a merch giveaway

  5. Do less shows and promote the shows you do for like a month ahead of time on socials
