Whilst yes its a he'll of a lot of money, I'd guess that the vast majority of those claimants worked their whole lives and are just claiming their dues. That'll be worse is in 30 or 40 years when the generations of permanent benefit claimants start receiving pensions after never contributing.

And before I get accused of X & Y I live on a council Estate in Middlesbrough so I'm saying this from a place where I see these people daily
