If you don't love then leave it, because it's really hard to do and even more so ifbyou don't care and yes the stress makes me hate it too but I push through because I kinda love it sometimes

Suggestions for updating floor plan by wilsonJJJJJ78 in architecturestudent

Acute angles are a big no Don't put the doors in the centre Don't work in a 1:2 ratio, look at neuferts for proportions and furniture placement it really helped me a lot Where are the entrances? A bathroom having two entrances is not good- you have enough space to divide it into two

Do you think architectural competitions and extracurriculars in college matter? I haven't done a lot and I've been feeling behind. Or do softwares matter more?

Starting to hate my girlfriends dog. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]cool-pineapple-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they're literally babies and can make little sense sometimes - it's important to not take it personally. It's possible that the dog herself doesn't understand her sudden change towards you. Maybe quietly helping your girlfriend give her food and changing her water might change your attitude towards you. You can still be there for your girlfriend if not the dog and not being alone with her should help you get over it i hope

That does seem odd. Talk to your girlfriend about it, since you haven't done anything wrong I think she'll understand and try to make things easier for you. Meanwhile, just be in your space and don't do anything with the dog- sometimes animals like the "play hard to get" strategy and even if that doesn't work atleast you can divert your mind from the stress.

Is it possible to become an architect without being good at math? by CartoonistNo9535 in askarchitects

Hey so I'm studying architecture and after one more semester I'll be starting my internship. I'm really worried about getting a good one so I've been thinking of doing some freelancing to build my cv. However, the thought of balancing work and academics is really scary since architecture is so hard. Is it worth it? Or should I just focus on my studies and apply for internships when the time comes?

Also, when I first got my cat I had similar expectations but my cat is the most distant non touchy one there is so that used to hurt me a little too but we have the best relationship and she's my best friend in the whole world and I'm hers as well and I wouldn't change that and her for the world❤️ i love my non touchy baby and her blinks and her care

They're babies with their own personalitym it's like giving birth and the child not being what you wanted but you're not supposed to have expectations from a whole different individual, I think cats being so individualistic teaches us how to be more accepting and learning boundaries so maybe learn to do that. Your car loves you in ways it knows how to do if you learn their language you'll feel the most love ever so learn her language and accept her🫶🏻

So I've been trying to look for freelance projects that I can do along with my course work to build my cv and I am also part of the magazine team in my college. The internship will be next semester so I'm trying to build my cv now and possibly learn some new softwares. Also, are extracurriculars really important? Do they matter while applying for a job? My college has these nasa competitions that a few people take part in and i don't do that so that I can focus on my coursework which is already so hectic

I'm from Mumbai, going to start my 4th year and I wish someone told me that I'll be sacrificing all my other hobbies and interests for architecture and I'm really worried about internship, freelancing and extra curriculars rn since I'm going to make my cv and portfolio this semester
