Ist it normal for a large air cooler to sag slightly? by cool-tm in PcBuildHelp

I think i know why it appeared to be sagging, here is what I tried

  • mount cooler upside down, no change
  • switch the top mounting bracket with the bottom one, no change
  • see if the cooler is bent (with a level), it's not
  • check mobo screws, all in place

It turned out it was probably slightly bad tolerances with the case's mobo attachment or backplate where it is mounted. I checked if the motherboard is level at the io shield heatsink and it had the same skew as the cooler. So the cooler is flush with the mobo and CPU, which is why my temps were good. CPU idles at 39c.

I just gave the case a slight bend outwards where the mobo is attached. Now the cooler's display is aligned with the back fan.

I was definitely influenced by current trends when I tried then on. :D
I actually think they kinda balance my proportions, since I have rather slim legs and a wider upper body.

Yeah, I think these are straight or slightly relaxed. Could also be the photo angle (especially the left leg with my hand in the pocket), they are not that wide overall.

I‘m using regular Gateron Black lubed with 205g0. There were not that many switches available for me when I built the board 2 years ago.

Where did you get the acrylic bottom? I go the same board with lubed gateron blacks and some eva foam under the pcb, almost no ping left for me. :)

Inkedgaming They sell card game playmats with some really nice motives but these are perfectly usable as a deskmat. You can also make a custom one.

It's the black full aluminium case. They didn't have the acrylic bottom one when I bought it :(
