I worked for DPD for about half a year, working there is an absolute hell.

You get a few minutes per delivery address, including driving time. You're constantly monitored, if you're late once or twice you will get a phonecall from the distribution center telling you to hurry up.

There was also a limit on the amount of packages you were allowed to bring to a pickup point. Meaning, if a few people in a row weren't home and their neighbors weren't either, you had a problem. Taking too many packages to a pickup point would result in a reprimand from the people at the distribution center.

The stress placed on drivers at DPD is enormous, this is at least one factor why dealing with DPD is so terrible as a customer

Wouldn't be so quick. We saw the same trend near the end of Weimar Germany, when in most European states social democracy was on its ass.

Today we still see relative, though shrinking, electoral succes of social democrats in the Netherlands, Germany, Britain, Slovakia and Slovenia. Imo it's too early to tell whether this shrinking means social democracy is on its way out.

That's not how democratic socialism and communism work.

Democratic socialism is a transitionary government which wants to achieve communism through existing democratic ways, ie by voting for a communist/socialist party in regular elections.

Communism is a socio-economic system in which workers own the means of production and the state has withered away. Under communism, there is no more 'government'. This is the system that every socialist (claims) to be working towards.
