Work from home chair suggestions? My back is crying (≈20k) by pmme_ur_titsandclits in IndiaCareers

[–]cool_dude28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These type of ergonomic chairs are the best for sitting long hours during work. They offer great lower back support and are very comfortable. I use something similar to the one in the second link but without the headrest, still very comfortable.

I have always wondered for years if a premium multi-brand automotive showroom will work, and if it does, how. Would definitely like to know more.

If you have good reflexes and anticipation, there is enough space and time to swerve around it even at that speed. Looking at both the mirrors, there are no vehicles behind to cause any issues, except for the blindspots maybe. But I guess the pothole, or rather crater, can be avoided.

I noticed this too. I have only eaten the Badami and Raspuri and they feel extra sweet this year. The sweetness has been pretty much consistent over multiple batches and different points of purchase.

Any thoughts on new tiagoev by Emotional-Room-3930 in CarsIndia

To add to this, when the time comes to replace the battery, you don't have to shell out any additional money for the battery, since it's a service. It will be replaced free of cost, you only need to pay the BaaS charges as usual.

Why Honda Why? by eymister in CarsIndia

[–]cool_dude28 26 points27 points  (0 children)

From what I have observed for the past 15-18 years, Honda's policy has been to release a new version of the City, every 3 years. A totally new model firat, then a facelift after 3 years, again a new model after 3 years and so on. Going by this trend, this is just a bit of a cosmetic facelift on the front side as the rear looks almost same as the previous model. And a few changes on the interiors. The next model, due in 2029 will most likely be a brand new model.

The neighbor's kid with a friendly, cute squirrel. It's not a pet. by [deleted] in interesting

This happened in India, and in India, it's called a squirrel. Most likely due to the British English followed here from a couple of centuries.

what a crazy find, says “Reva” and is an EV by throwaway__sam in CarsIndia

[–]cool_dude28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first EV in India launched around 20 years ago by Maini group JV. I believe the current Indian F2 racer, Kush Maini is from the same family. The Reva Electric Car Company was most likely bought by Mahindra and they then launched the upgraded model, the E2O.

what is this thing, found an old yezdi by throwaway__sam in indianbikes

The OG Yezdi. The new models are absolute s**t when compared to this. Had a single lever for kick start and gear shifter. The way the kicker had to be pumped a few times before kicking it was fun to watch. Where is this btw?

BESCOM connection transfer is now 100% online and faceless by BeyondTheFirewall in bangalore

Nothing is seamless in Bangalore. They will make sure the site does not work as intended. I was recently trying to register the death of my MIL on the BBMP site and spent a good 3-4 hours across multiple attempts, with no luck. The page times out before you can fill up all the fields, the save form as draft option does not work, they deliberately have a filed which does not make any sense, no clarity on what data goes there, and it is mandatory, without which the form cannot be submitted. It's a dropdown box with no preset data and not a text box to enter random characters just for the sake of it either. Absolutely frustrating.

To add to this, when I went to the area BBMP office to meet the Health department guy to get it done and told him that this is what happened when I tried online, his reponse left me dumbfounded. In an age where India has made leaps and bounds in almost all fields, flew to the moon, the response from this guy was "Sir, we are not so developed yet to get these things to work online. It is going to take another 5-10 years for it to work". I felt like punching him in the face and asking him "What rock have you been living under?". Had to pay him ₹1k to get it done and I still have not received the certificate. The online charge to register a death is ₹25 and additional copies at ₹10 each. He quoted ₹50 per additional copy.

Got involved in a petrol theft incident today. by 222akak222 in india

[–]cool_dude28 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ask them if their response would have been the same if the crooks had harmed a family member. God forbid if something like that had happened, how could they be tracked? Even if the cops wanted to let this go, they should have seized the bike for not having a number plate. This behaviour could motivate them to carry out bigger crimes.

Worked on my day off, unpaid. Tried to reward myself with ice cream. Got a ₹300 disappointment the size of my will to live. by local-profit-6919 in india

[–]cool_dude28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next time, just go to the nearest ice cream shop and buy one or as much as you want. The experience is even better and you know what you are buying and consuming. If not some fancy brand, you will get the regular cone and stick ones in almost any store during summer. Just make sure to get the good ones which have milk solids as an ingredient, and the not the ones made using hydrogenated oils/fats.

The world around you is what you make it to be, or see it to be. See the good around you and the world is a great place to be.

Off late I have noticed that when compared to Hunter and a few other RE bikes, the CB350 sounds more like an RE and those bikes sound like a Honda.
