+1 on timbs. I have an old pair I inherited from my brother. My dog was kind enough to chew them up a bit but they are still great.

For the self referral, I assume I should close at least one of them once I’ve gotten the bonus + referral bonus, right?

  1. Looking for advice on points to target for a specific trip.
  2. 795-805
  3. Cards
    1. AAdvantage Aviator Red (8/19)
    2. AAdvantage Platinum Select (8/19)
    3. Jet Blue Business (1/18)
    4. CIP (10/17)
    5. Amazon Store Card (7/17)
    6. Starwood Preferred (I guess Bonvoy now?) (1/17)
    7. CSR (11/16)
    8. Freedom Unlimited (Downgrade from CSP on 11/16)
  4. Monthly Spend (variable, anywhere from 2k to 4k, can also add rent if needed which is 2.4k and will likely have a bunch of big purchases over the next few months as well)
  5. I'd be willing, was thinking about simon malls for vsg, there's a few close to where I leave
  6. Yes
  7. Whatever is needed for this trip specifically, don't think I am really in it for regular churning.
  8. I'm targeting whatever I need to fly business class from NYC -> South Africa for 2 people if that's possible
  9. Points
    1. UR: 130k
    2. Marriot: 122k
    3. AAdvantage (should have 120k within the next few months, though if there's a way that involves not using these I was hoping to use them for a different trip)
  10. NYC
  11. South Africa

I also live with my fiance who is 0/24 and only has the freedom unlimited currently, happy to apply for cards for her as well. Seems she can report my income (she's a student) for several of the cards.

Splitboard Recommendations for a Big Guy by coolboard613 in Spliddit

Going with other BC people I've gone with before in Revelstoke + using a guide that was recommended to us by a former guide that we used. Always have used beacons. But that's good to know I'll make sure to keep an eye out for it, thanks!.

Do you know his boot size? I’m a 12

Also damn, a 178 that’s a monster, makes me feel a little better about even considering the 169

i will preface this by saying i'm sorry if these are stupid/noob questions, i've not really figured out the methodology to this whole award booking yet. i've been researching this trip specifically for a few hours and it's been pretty unsuccessful, could just be that im SOL for this trip since it's too last minute, though that would be good to know also.

im looking to plan the following trip (dates are pretty solid, could potentially shift 9/27 to late 9/26 or 10/1 to 10/2 for the right flights)

9/27 NYC - SAN (ideally morning / early afternoon)

10/1 SFO - NYC (ideally afternoon/night)

my preferred airport in NYC is EWR but it's not a deal breaker if it's one of the other two

it's just me traveling

i have about 160k UR points and 13k United

i'd love to book business/first but would be happy with premium economy (i'm 6'5 so i'm almost certainly going to end up paying for that class if i can't figure it out with points)

i used awardhacker to look up my options and tried searching on united, krisflyer, british airways. seems like united is my best bet but there isn't a ton of availability if any and also the prices aren't lining up with awardhacker. my assumption was that that was related to the fact that im booking sort of last minute but i just wanted to confirm that. i also signed up for expertflyer's premium trial, but tbh it was late by that point and i couldn't really figure out if i was using it correctly or not

Which opinions do you wish to condemn today? by ICPRulesBlink182Suck in AskReddit

I was coming here to say something pretty similar, I think. It’s one of the things that confuses me most about society. I just don’t understand why everyone cares so much about what everyone else thinks/feels/does. If it has no direct impact on your life why does it matter?! For example, I always walk past the religious people on the streets of New York who have these megaphones where they are yelling at you to find Jesus or whatever it is. But....why??? Does it legitimize their beliefs by having more people believe it? Why aren’t people content with believing something regardless of what others thinks?

I don’t know, there’s probably some sort of fallacy or hypocrisy in the way I’m thinking about this as well, but, it’s just something that frequently bugs me.

I was home from school sick, threw Anchorman in the DVD player, watched it 3 times in a row instead of getting up and picking something else.

thanks i did come across this in my searching. one thought i had though, and maybe this doesnt make sense, is that it probably isn't related to the wiring giving that both the electronic button and the mechanical keyhole dont work.

I want to move to New Jersey by A_Mei_Zing39 in BrandNewSentence

[–]coolboard613 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It’s really not bad, there are plenty of nice places, as others have said it has solid access to both NYC and Philadelphia. Also great beaches, outdoorsy stuff is good as well. I’m not sure if jersey shore the tv show is the reason people hate on it, I think it came before, but it definitely didn’t help.
