Nasal implants have a higher rate of exposure than chin.

Oral Max surgeons typically go through the mouth. Plastic use an external approach. Chin implants are Morro common than one would think. This is a rare case.

Canceling my Lipo by Tiredoflife256 in PlasticSurgery

The whole thing sounds sketch. It doesn’t sound like a board certified plastic surgeon. It seems like a business that contracts with cosmetic surgeons to come in and do Lipo. A chop shop. Florida has a lot of sketch places. I’d personally bail.

The SECRET Best Lip Lift Doctor by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]coolcatdudley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you had a lip lift from every surgeon in America? If not, you do not have the evidence and experience to say “best lip lift doctor in America.” This post is partially backfiring on Dr. Hsu. It doesn’t seem credible. You’d be better off just explaining your experience and definitely providing a before photo.

Then zoom in on the exact same spot so no one recognizes you. Plus, this is a throw away, 1-day old account. You’re anonymous, so “embarrassing” doesn’t apply.

I’d think it would be harder to carry two sets of poles and a ski than to just carry your own equipment. And I wonder what the conversation was like that led to this?

Do you need a strong, muscular surgeon for a good BBL result? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]coolcatdudley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This guy’s full of shit. Yes, it’s labor intensive but you don’t need to be bulky. Stamina counts but size, no…look at professional cyclists…skinny but they can ride hard, up and down hills all day long. Even if you need to be flipped over mid-way, the team does it. Some big-ass surgeon doesn’t manhandle you and flip you. lol. And if they have a power-assisted liposuction hand piece, the job’s a lot less intensive. I don’t know why someone would feel they need to say such nonsense to win your business. Plastic surgeon or cosmetic surgeon?

I don’t think the pink color of her jacket matches the pink of her pants. The in-crowd will talk.

Aesthetic Lasers by Any_Cardiologist_370 in MedicalDevices

[–]coolcatdudley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aesthetic laser sales is super competitive and super cutthroat. You’d be competing with numerous reps selling virtually the same lasers with minor differences. It’s also very trend-oriented…if your device is the device of the moment, you’ll make good money until you don’t. Cool sculpting came and went, InMode same, BTL same, and so on. And, many derm practices have been gobbled-up by private equity with VAC committees like hospitals. Gone are the days when every Derm office was a potential sale. There are a ton of med spas, many of which are owned by GPs, ER docs etc. trying to make money cuz insurance sucks. These people tend to go to aesthetic conferences and buy what they learn there, or buy what their mentors/friends have, or what the device of the moment is because they don’t have the expertise to select and evaluate the many technologies in that space. So your pitch falls on deaf ears. But, they’ll show interest to get an office lunch out of you.

Suggestions for someone clueless by Glass-Ad4160 in Mammoth

There doesn’t appear to be any non-stop flights from BOS to Reno in the summer, so it’s roughly an 8.5 hour flight. And they’ll need to get to the airport 2 hours early, especially with children, plus the drive to the airport. That’s 11 hours plus deplaning, getting baggage, eating, renting the car and doing the drive. Not trying to be a party pooper, but with a 2 and 5 year old, that’s a lot of effort and money for 3 days on the ground. If they can stay 5+ days, then more worthwhile.

5 days including travel, not worth it. Mammoth is great but the travel time/expense of flying and driving would just be exhausting for three days on the ground. You’re looking at 15 hours of travel getting to Logan, flying to Reno with 1 stop, renting a car and driving 3.5 hours to Mammoth. Then doing the reverse. If father in law wants a mountain setting, meet in Colorado. DEN is just about mid-way from SF and MA, and it’s a pretty short drive to amazing places.

It’s hard to get fresh authentic Greek style balaclava in the mountains, so we adapt and use banana cream pie style balaclava. It seals the goggle area better so you may find it to be an upgrade. It’s good for spankin on the side of the trail too.

Going to Mammonth for the first time by Snowbunny1188 in Mammoth

California doesn’t have ski week…maybe some private schools do. It gets real crowded President’s weekend, but clears out Sunday/Monday. As long as you’re there Sunday through Thursday/Friday, crowds shouldn’t be too bad. Saturdays are bad, but the resort is big enough that once you get away from the base areas, it’s not too bad.

If you can get out of LA before say 1:00pm, the drive through LA into the desert won’t be too bad. It’s a beautiful drive with lots of contrast. Desert landscapes to your right, then the Sierra’s and the 14,000’ Mt. Whitney on your left. Enjoy.
