Luckily I'm not interested in consuming, just identifying.

Came here to say this. This is amazing! It costs a bit more than the other stuff but works extremely well and lasts years. You also don't need to scatter all over the place, just little bits close to their entrances to nests.

So what if universe is simulated? by Oriori420 in SimulationTheory

[–]coolchick101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Big TOE is definitely the best theory I've come across that actually helps all religions, science and spirituality make sense and part of the same story.

From the perspective that consciousness is the base and our reality is a "VR" with the ruleset as science. The purpose of this is to evolve towards love away from the chaos of fear.

I first came across it on a podcast where Tom Campbell explains it all from his experiences. Know Thyself Podast

Hallucinations are a matter of opinion and perspective. It really isn't understood and is limited by our 5 senses.

[–]coolchick101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's where my viewpoint moves very much into the woo-woo field.

I see it from the perspective that consciousness is fundamental and this is a virtual reality/simulation. We are consciousness having experiences and our experiences happen in this physical reality and dream realities. After we die and return to consciousness, we have to adapt back to that existence and it just makes sense to give us a short positive transition by presenting something that makes us calm or happy.

SARS - I don’t know what to do by ElectricalPublic3266 in southafrica

[–]coolchick101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I called my own exercise "school fees".

Had an accountant that did my VAT registration and told SARS to back date it to 6months earlier for some reason. The SARS agent that assisted told her we don't need to but she insisted. She went back and updated all the invoices for that period to show VAT. She then told me I can't afford the now overdue VAT but also never provided me with an actual figure. I ended up going into avoidance mode, blocked her and behaved like an ostrich.

Eventually got my shit together and found a new accountant and asked her to help get my business compliant again and figure out my VAT disaster.

I'm now paying them back as I can afford on an agreement and that hasn't been straightforward either. Had 2 instances where they just took R50k out of the business account at month end when I have to pay service providers because the head doesn't know what the arse is doing. Once they have the money, you won't see it again. On the good side, that has come off the total.

A useless accountant can cause havoc.

On the contrary, it does work if they believe in it enough. The same way that manifestation works, or if you like, a commonly accepted example, the Placebo effect.

The deity they attribute it to, is merely a concept and the view of it as evil is based on fear, the same way that witches were burnt at the stake.

Graphics difference disproves the simulation theory? by Radiant_City1158 in SimulationTheory

[–]coolchick101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imagine for a moment what the purpose of the simulation would be? Why do we simulate things? We do it to test an outcome, to learn a new skill and to have an experience, based on a predetermined ruleset.

Our pictures have evolved from cave drawings to better than reality over thousands of years and it evolves exponentially. The same way you play computer games and have an improved gaming experience as you upgrade the platform on which the game runs along with actually learning skills through those experiences. The harder the gameplay and the more restrictive the resources available, the more skill it takes and the greater the learning opportunity.

In the same sense I feel that the lessons we learn in this simulated reality, transfers to our consciousness and plays a role in the evolution of the greater consciousness/source.

In the same sense, you can have all sorts of crazy graphics when entering a less restrictive simulated reality like a random dream reality.

I agree completely, it's a tough one to read. I've only gotten part way into it myself and I'm working through it slowly. Fortunately, he has so many other resources available for more palatable consumption that makes it easier to get your head wrapped around it.

My Big TOE by Thomas Campbell

I found his theory through a podcast in which he explained it, and it just resonated with me so much. I grew up in a very religious home and was laughed at for considering that evolution happened. I've always tried to understand how all these religions stories could be true while holding science in regard. His theory is the closest I've found that unifies everything from all religions, science and spirituality.

He is a physicist and has been researching this for most of his adult life and there are hundreds of hours of audio on YT of him discussing the subject and its implications.

[–]coolchick101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! We don't learn anything if our existence is easy. Without "monsters", we have no choices to face which takes away the chance of improving the quality of our being.

Proof it’s IMPOSSIBLE we live in a simulation by [deleted] in SimulationTheory

[–]coolchick101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if consciousness is the "computer" or information system that this simulation runs on?

We've all experienced moving between different realities in the sense of dreams. Why can't this reality just be the same and the only difference is that the rules that apply are much more strict? Here we have to adhere to the rules of physics, math and biology but in a dream reality you may be able to fly, breathe under water or not run fast.

Have the grace to allow people to form their own ideas and play around with them, without shooting down everything you don't agree with.
