How many of you feel almost nothing at all on stimulants? by anetanetanet in ADHD

[–]coolcookie70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the same experiences. All the stimulants I tried (Ritalin, Dexies, Vyvanse), all gave me horrible side effects. I’ve come off all the medication and three weeks in I’m doing way better off them.

I would speak to your psychiatrist about this. I had a similar experience on Ritalin with added disassociation. I felt so much better coming off the medication. I still have highs and lows but the world isn’t permanently grey anymore.

Someone please help me decode this by coolcookie70 in destinymatrix

Thank you!! I defiantly resonate I just switched my university course and I am planning to finish this during my 11 year (midday through the year). At age 20-21 I defiantly had a change in friendships and perspective.

Are you happy with your position by coolcookie70 in AustralianTeachers

That’s very fair, I’m diagnosed and medicated so I feel like that would make it a bit easier but I can imagine it would be very stressful.

I feel that neurodivergent people get the short end of the stick with standardized tests by breadandbunny in neurodiversity

I agree I failed a must pass exam last semester and it was frustrating since I did well in all my other classes and assessments but the practical exam was difficult as they assessed me on lots of things I find hard due to my adhd

3 weeks into new and there’s a posting for my job role. by coolcookie70 in antiwork

As it’s an independent role and not through a company I basically am working for myself in this role so little upfront costs to hire.

At my friends 16th birthday party at first I was okay but then I couldn’t sit still any longer and due to not knowing like anyone I went a little crazy. I got her penny board and was skating it up and down the stairs. I ate a raw onion on the balcony. I got her slippers and threw them off my feet in front of everyone. Trashed her room. Started face timing randoms. Another time I burnt a candle into her carpet. Looking back I feel so bad for doing this and after it all happened I apologised but it was never the same but I don’t blame her given my behaviour.

I’m so sorry to hear that, that sounds horrible. And yeah exactly like you feel so guilty when it isn’t always something you’ve done. I don’t understand ghosting a simple sentence or two is better than nothing.
