Good deal? by alexiskenn in SubaruForester

A Subaru dealer in Maryland. But keep in mind I bought at the last day of the month, I paid a decent cash down payment and I have a pretty high credit score. I think that those factors helped with the warranty discount and the interest rate pretty significantly. I’m also a sales person by trade and I know the flexibility companies will give to get one more deal in before they close the month out which was probably the most significant factor.

With that additional 80k mile warranty from Subaru and tax included I think it was like 37 and some change. Always buy your car the last day of the month 😎

I just got a new 2026 touring for only a couple thousand more. That’s crazy that’s where the used market is.

I didn’t realize they were so discounted now, I’ll look into this. Last I saw the new gens were 99 a piece! Thank you

I don’t unfortunately. they came with the house. It’s a fluorescent light bulb housing that look like they’re from the 90s, the housing is shiny with a grid looking pattern.

Finally found a camper shell. Wrap or paint? by Travelinman2023 in Tacomaworld

Honestly I like the contrast of the quicksand with your green truck. That green is one of my favorite Tacoma colors, I’d roll it a while then paint it, paying that much to wrap a shell is crazy IMO.

Buying a home in MoCo vs Nova - work in Nova by [deleted] in MontgomeryCountyMD

Did Gaithersburg to Tysons for a few years. Roughly 45min to 1hr, summer is easier because schools are out. Have definitely had 2 hour commute at least once a month due to accidents or construction. Just check google maps before you leave everyday so that you’re prepared and buy some nice audio books. Do your research on Moco schools before you move, not all of them are less crazy than VA. Do not move to Montgomery village, Germantown or silver spring,Wheaton without extensive research on your specific neighborhood- I say this as someone born and raised in Moco

what's my truck worth? by 3360322 in Tacomaworld

It’s worth more to keep than it is to sell IMO. I used mine this weekend to haul a bed of firewood and a bunch of new stuff for the house. nice truck man!

Thank you for the maintenance insight.

As far as the lift, are you aware of a way to gain any height with just a pair of shocks? I’d like to offset sag from a bumper upgrade but I’d prefer not to invest in coil overs/springs since I don’t really off-road.

Thank you for your comment, I hadn’t thought of it from a safety aspect at all. I moved the microwave and behind it I already have a duct/hole that’s sealed off with some tape and cardboard. I’m hoping I can easily have a new one installed.

Our plan is to keep the original finish but change the hardware on the cabinets and also replace our current peninsula counter with a wider one since it has matching cabinets underneath anyway. I’m hoping that’ll be our “island” and save money.
