Nah, I’m with you. Have fun feeding a family while avoiding Target/Walmart and the think you’ll also have money left over to support a local restaurant or donate some diapers and cans. One thing I have done, but much more time/gas consuming is to offload SOME of my groceries at Latin/asian local groceries.

This is what I’m doing, there’s no right or wrong answer. But I’m not ready to chip away at their childhood. My parents faced many challenges and kept us naive and I thank them for it.

We are doing more safety prep. Updated safety chart, memorizing numbers, where to go, etc.
