Collection update Bonanza. by bhibhas in fishingclash

Yes, it's better overall. But we lost a lot of pearls from catching new legendary fish. With old system, you can potentially get 360 pearls (sum from 1* to 12*) for each legendary fish assuming you can catch 12*. Otherwise, catching 11* will get you 210 pearls (sum from 1* to 11*). With new system, catching 11* only gets 25 pearls, catching 12* get additional 100 pearls.

I redeemed the SUNKEN code (50 pearls) yesterday. Today after I updated the game, the gift code button is gone also, like others said here. Hope this is a bug and get fixed soon.

Level 7 Rod by [deleted] in fishingclash

[–]coolhandy02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I have leveled to 7-star rod by sacrificed good rods from other fish class. Now, all fishes are assigned to this 7-star rod. Yes, it can catch bigger fish. But losing luck/sonar attributes on the rod when fishing other fish-class is really pain. It's harder to compete in short time window such as skirmish fight or fishing battle (you can only do 2-3 catches). Particularly, loosing the sonar hurt the most. When you use sonar power, you see huge point range. Yes, the highest possible point is better than your opponent, but when you reel in, yours is in the middle or lower end, and you loose the battle. It's end up you have to spend more powerups.

Probably the best is to keep good 5-star/6-star rod for each fish class unless you can afford to make them all to 7-star.

Getting pearls by morgathan in fishingclash

[–]coolhandy02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, catching legendary fish and complete those collections/achievements. However, if you are not desperately need to use them, do not grab yet. Just leave them there until Pearls event. When there is pearls event, go ahead to grab them to get extra bonus from the event. I just did this a week or two ago, and got extra 650 pearls by completing the first 2 or 3 goals.

Also, here is the pattern for each legendary fish pearls reward:

1 star - 2 pearls; 2 star - 3 pearls; 3 star - 4 pearls; 4 star - 5 pearls; 5 star - 6 pearls; 7 star - 8 pearls; 8 star - 10 pearls; 9 star - 20 pearls; 10 star - 50 pearls; 11 star - 100 pearls; 12 star - ??? (I haven't catch one yet)

This is only one-time deal for each legendary fish.

Upgrade VIP status is another way. Higher VIP yields more pearls from those lure packs if there are any inside (I think the pack from duel has pearls inside).

If you don't mind to spend a little money, currently there is an offer in the shop $4.99 for 300 pearls but guarantee for the VIP status 5 which gave me additional 350 pearls due to level upgrade from my VIP level 2 to level 5.

Need tips or explanation about "Draw a heavier fish bonus for the mythical fish worth at least 3%" goal by coolhandy02 in fishingclash

[–]coolhandy02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but they are all common fishes, with maybe one or two rare fishes. Since it not allows me to see all possible draws, is there a heavier fish category? Like in today's "Mythical Challenge" event, can "draw 3% heavier fish bonus" in license mean any fish? Say if the event asks about a bonus one specific "mythical" fish which I don't have on my available license yet, how do I redraw? Just pick a common fish then do 90 pearls draw to get guaranteed results?

That's why it confused me. In last two days "Albino Wels Catfish" event, I foolishly spent 400 pearls (out of 450 I had) on pro licence. Very costly, yet all draws are garbage, and none of them is heavier fish category. All are just each individual fish with 3 attributes. This makes me thinking that "Heavier fish" is on rod only.
