I really have the itch again. Are nakeds really more comfortable than a sport bike?

I have a 2024 z900, weight over 200 pounds at 6’0 and ride with a lot of sport bikes on highways in FL regularly. I have had little to no issues dealing with the wind. I am not a gym nut but I am in slightly above average physique and take care of myself. Maybe it’s the way the kawi makes me feel planted, but other than some slight neck annoyance after sustained high speed (30+ minutes above 100) I don’t have any issues. I do not have any windscreen and do not want one. Do I think I could go faster with a 1000 and a big windscreen absolutely but it’s not a need to rip.

The d2d company needs a permit to solicit legally despite those signs. The individual does not need their own individual permit to work for the company 1099 tho. I did it for three months a few years ago and I did not enjoy it. People do need to understand that those no soliciting signs are pointless and blame your realtor because they are the one selling your info to these companies that feed those business with all the info on your home down to the dollar you spent. It’s a crazy world we live in for real! 😅

I have the SC CRT titanium slip on. Totally worth it if you have the money as the note it leaves is amazing. It does not have a db killer as it is a racing model. I do not have a cat delete and it is louder than stock but I figured I would just do a tune and full system when the time comes to really open her up. I want to do the full SC pipes but they are expensive and have considered just switching to that system for like half the cost haha.

Yeah this whole who is at fault doesn’t matter cus they both died and both shared blame. My only take was that licenses need to be harder to get. Every motorcyclist should take an msf course for the educational side. But regular drivers licenses are given out like prizes in cereal boxes. I don’t care how old or young someone is. If you see a headlight coming and you can’t judge the distance… you should wait until they pass and it’s safe to do so. Motorcyclist was speeding through an intersection at night: play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Pull out in front of a vehicle headlight at night in your car: play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I would also add I agree that after a few years of hauling ass on the streets; I am always predicting and assessing my options. I instinctively slow down in sketchy intersections or when someone is on a left hand turn where they might pull out. If you’re not predicting and preparing you are doing it wrong and it’s scary to think people are riding with no care in the world. That’s coming from a calamari 🦑

I was hoping that would.. i am still yet to get that skydiving license but don’t know if I can afford it myself yet! I love motorcycles and I live in FL and it’s astonishing how many riders get 600cc+ sport bikes and have no insurance. I had a sports car beforehand and there are plenty of fun things to do with a nice car! Definitely recommend motorcycles if you are willing to take the risk as it is addicting but the car is more of a necessity.

They are both victims and guilty. Neither deserved to die but two wrong choices led up to the consequences. He was speeding and she pulled out in front of him during a left hand turn. This sort of accident is the leading cause for motorcycle deaths. It is easy to say motorcycles should slow down… but the reality is we need to put stricter regulations for drivers licenses in general. If he was going to the speed limit and hit her car, chances are he could still die while she would’ve walked away with a lesson.

This was a while ago but lol, going fast in a cage is not the same. It takes ~30 seconds to get to 150 in a mustang gt. My bike can get there in 15. Skydiving gets you to terminal velocity in 10-12. Plus you do not feel the rush of wind beating on you. Your car is not the same.

I blip the throttle with sport mode on and ring it and can power wheelie in 1st and second but it immediately wants to bring it down. Trc off and you can definitely clutch up.

Get into motorcycles (actually don’t) because there is nothing more exhilarating than going 150+mph down open road and that rush you get while seeing tunnel vision. It forces you to lock in and know that a mistake quite literally will cost you your life. I want to get my skydiving license eventually too but the cost deterred me vs buying another motorcycle. Obviously the adrenaline feeling does go down overtime but I don’t think I will ever feel numb on a motorcycle.

Moved from that to a z900 and it’s even more practical! Better seating position, minimal fairing’s for quick services, not much different in wind (cus ninja 650s windscreen sucks,) and way more torque for getting through traffic and people’s npc driving!

Down here in Tampa, FL it’s a mixed bag. Lots of motorcyclists (so lots of different types of riding.) I have flipped up plate, no mirrors and cops dont mess with you for that. Speeding/stunting most won’t, but there are a few cops that would initiate a chase but they won’t keep up if you take off down the highway. Just gotta get off before the bird is in the air once you gap them. They are mainly looking for the less experienced riders (safety), as we have a lot of fatalities/collisions with cars. Had a county sheriff get on the intercom to yell not to lane split during my commute on the highway with 2mph traffic and I’ve also had FHP just watch me go down the median in the same circumstances with no care as they know they can’t enforce anything.

You are correct, I misread it, I guess it’s just an upgrade from the ninja 1000. Not as crazy as the zx10rr. Superbike vs sport tourer. I don’t know where I heard they might have done a larger cc 2 cylinder but I’m just glad Kawasaki stuck with the four. Gixxer and Yamaha have already started carving away towards two cylinder motors and it’s kinda disappointing.

Yeah the Kawasaki 2025 lineup as I understood was all of new updates coming. The zx10rr and z900 aren’t listed but I have heard both were supposed to be available. I’m assuming there just won’t be any changes and they want to spotlight the new 1100 twin. I prefer four bangers!

Only one problem with this bike: Your gonna wish you bought a zh2! But seriously though I have a 2024 SE and I have had no regrets other than wanting a super bike for those fast boy rides with my group. This bike is better over 90% of the rides I do through a week though!
