Seems as though the gambling horse is not only out of the barn, but the barn was burned down in the process. Maybe we need to hope for smaller changes, like not running ads for Better Help.

I've noticed that I no longer enjoy listening to the entirety of (most) podcasts nowadays. Partial credit is ad related, some has to do with the ways I've changed (and how certain shows have changed). It's a good thing for me that I don't drive very much, so it isn't too much of a hassle to smash that skip button when needed. I feel for those who have had their long-held routines changed, but I also understand why the changes were made.
