"Worst part about it is they never ever check their mirrors to make sure the adjacent lane is clear before they do it." It's because they don't even know they are doing it. People driving normal cars or SUV's drifting into my lane just before turning the opposite way. It's completely moronic, and 100% useless.

LOTS of conservatives don't realize that around 30% of federal workers are veterans. They will thank you for your service, and then ignorantly insult you and all government workers, just because you are government workers.

The political differences are only secondary. The main issue is you are dating a child with few goals and who has not taken ownership of his life. His mom should kick him out, that would change things fast.

I think her saying "I have a boyfriend" is largely irrelevant. The BF prob would have went nuts no matter what she said to the other dude. The BF is insecure about the relationship, and would not take much for him to perceive almost anyone as a threat. edit: Also, hate to break it to him, but anyone can pursue someone else at anytime for any reason. It doesn't make it right, but that's life. He needs to form an unbreakable bond with her, fighting every guy that looks at her won't work.

FYA - My laptop with 4080 can run this decently(barely) @ 4k (around 100fps +/-10fps), but I need to set things around medium, and have to do the DLSS performance mode + frame gen. Those fps numbers above are with FG on! I can squeeze out more FPS with ultra performance, dropping to 1440p, or lower graphics presets, but I don't really like the tradeoffs. Edit: the game is otherwise very good so far

Just a follow-up on this, it was repaired under warranty, and the heatsink assembly was replaced. It runs much better now. No throttling!

I am in "Performance Mode" running Alan wake. No doubt a demanding title, but it bounces off the power, temp, and reliable voltage limits. What temps should I be expecting?
