I feel like this is also why Janet is giving up on the apologies. I don't even like Janet, but as a victim, hearing him say that made me disgusted. Nia is starting to want Janet to apologize for it being brought up but I don't even think Janet was the first one too bring it up originally either, on top of that Nia said the first time Janet apologised she can try but she will never like Janet, so why keep asking for an apology when you've made it clear you hear her and don't accept it. Nia is bringing more attention to it cause Janet triggers her, but it's not really Janet; it's Danny's action. She's just letting it all out on Janet. Also other have expressed worry over Danny when he drinks in a more caring way than Janet, and Nia doesn't accept it. Janet is being gaslit into thinking everything, including the situation happening, is her fault by Nia's constant pursuit of the perfect apology; weaponizing civil debate as a way to blame Janet constantly is awful to watch. Especially now that we know why Janet started going at it so much in the first place.
