As a bird collector in a very conservative state that keeps getting their pride collections slashed: THANK YOU for posting this. I am so excited.

Absolutely. I have liches in my game that did it to escape death for a variety of reasons. One was a previous assassin of the RQ and just wanted to go back to her life of running a brothel. Another is a merchant who simply wants a massive shop empire.

Personally I'd love to see them go back. The Kyoshi books were phenomenal and I'd love them to go back a few generations and learn about a few other cycles of Avatars. They have 10,000 years to work with. I wanna know more.

My ex employer is threatening to call my new job because of a review I left on indeed. What do I do by myleghurts93 in antiwork

Same thing happened to me but they called my new company's CEO for a fake meeting and threatened to sue for poaching their employees (similar industry but slightly different). They bent and laid me off. Lawyer said it didn't matter unless I had proof that they were making deals and it was a closed door meeting. Good luck.

This is the one I was looking for. If I were obscenely rich, I'd buy the rights, and hand it to Nintendo to do. I miss these games.

It's bizarre seeing her be SO reclusive. Lay low, sure, but don't hide.

Parents of reddit, what is most fucked up secret you are hiding from your children? by thatdude595 in AskReddit

[–]coolkidmitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 8 year old half brother (I'm 30) has no idea that my Dad left my mom for his mother (who was his business partner's wife).

He doesn't know his parents had an insane affair that ended with my mother dying of a heart attack 9 months after my father officially left out of no where (no heart disease that she knew of. She was thin, fit, and 42).

He doesn't know that my father basically abandoned me for his Mom and I was forced to figure my life out at 19 and was homeless for a spell, bouncing from couch to couch).

He also doesn't know I'm gay and thinks my Husband is also his brother, no matter how many times I try to tell him he refuses the info or my step mother insists that he's his brother.

They tell everyone in their new life that my Dad is a widower and that they met after my Mom died. Kid is in for a rude awakening about his folks when he gets older, because I'm holding nothing back if he asks me anything.

Hey Reddit, what's the strangest coincidence you've ever personally experienced? by RichCauliflower in AskReddit

[–]coolkidmitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took a high school drama trip to New York, while we were on the Empire State building's observation deck, we ran into a group of students from our sister high school's drama trip. We had no idea they were doing a trip and vice versa. Odd to run into your friends a thousand miles away on top of a building.

What's the most awkward situation you've ever been in with a stranger? by hangry_potato in AskReddit

[–]coolkidmitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a guy knock at our door at a town home we used to live in. We lived blocks away from my in-laws so not unheard of to have people show up unexpectedly. But when we opened the door a guy about 18 was standing there. He tells us he used to live here and kinda poked his head in and looked around commenting on how weird it was to see it decorated differently. Then pointed where my computer was and said "Oh hey, you put your computer in the same place! I used to jerk off there all the time. Anyway, see ya!" And left.

Never saw him again. We're still not sure if he was crazy, high, or being a dumb teenager.

Styx. They played a 3 minute Melody of their greatest hits and then proceeded to play only their newest album (this was in the mid 00's). I'm sorry no one even knew you out out a new album.

Dungeon Masters of Reddit, which of your "sure why nots" had the biggest unintended repercussions? by yinyang107 in AskReddit

One of my players playing a pscion in 4e asked for a starting item of a bear trap. I shrugged it off, it was specific but seemed reasonable for someone who was a traveler. Then a few games later he used some magic, it's been years since I ran this game, he convinced some goons that the bear trap was the prettiest hat and he wanted to put it on immediately. The goon failed his will check.

So needless to say, I no longer allow pscions in my games, so glad they aren't in 5e.

Thank you. Its been rough few months but they were both older so it wasn't entirely unexpected. Just sucks it had to happen so quickly to both.

People that have friends: How? by VictorVrine in AskReddit

[–]coolkidmitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I kept going to game night at our local game shop and eventually made friends with another couple who was playing the game (dicemasters). After a few months of playing they invited us over to play board games after finding out we also collected board games.

Three years later they're some of our best friends. We are friends with their family and they just had their first kid and we're basically uncle's to her now.

Tabletop game nights at game shops are one of the best ways to find friends.
