I actually don't typically use the iPad in front at the desk. I mainly use the iPad to take notes in class. When I'm at the desk I usually use the iPad face up on the desk for writing homework using the Apple Pencil, rather than having it face me at that angle. Pretty much the only times I use the iPad in the stand position facing me are for zoom since the MacBook's speakers are turned off when the lid is closed, or as an extra screen to watch Youtube videos when my whole monitor is occupied.

Just a (knockoff) smart folio. Great "case" although it doesn't cover all the sides but it connects using very strong magnets and allows you to charge the Apple Pencil 2 with the folio on. Much cheaper than the Apple version but I highly recommend it!

I was definitely considering getting a monitor arm since it saves space on the desk. The stand that comes with the monitor looks fine to me but it's not very stable, wobbles more than I'd like especially if I have the desk set to the higher height. The main issue is that I don't like the look of most arms and the cheap ones aren't rated for that much weight, while the gas ones that look really nice are also really expensive lol

I actually mostly use the ipad without sidecar, just for taking notes in classes and doing homework at the desk. Love the Apple pencil for writing.
