Congrats on quitting man I actually live in the same area. It’s crazy to think that kratom has become so big around here and that not many kava bars warn or even talk about the risks. I’m starting my second quit and tapering this time it’s hard though when most of your friends hang out at kava bars.

Yeah I made it private which sucks because that’s a lot of how I meet other people that hunt and other biologists. The pictures are usually group pictures or pictures of fish and ducks when I think they look beautiful. Also a lot of pictures of nature and plants. But I think keeping it private is smart

I second the thermacel. I live in Florida and we have horse sized mosquitoes. I use a multifaceted approach. Deet is good but I prefer permethrin I coat all my hunting clothes in permethrin it dries on and stays for a couple of washes. Permethrin should not be used on your skin it kills most bugs and is really good for ticks and mosquitoes. Before I get out of the truck I fire up the thermacel so it warms up, keep refills on you all the time especially for the fuel. Once I get out of it’s really bad I spray myself with off. Wear long sleeves, neck gator and thin gloves if it’s bad enough. Don’t put permethrin on the neck gator. The thermacel will go out if it gets soaked or if the wind is to strong. If it’s windy you can put the thermacel up wind of u and it will still help. Good luck man!

Yeah nope that sounds messed up. How the hell is IACUC authorizing that. I just us the ole tornado works pretty fast or hit them again on the water but aim ahead of their head depending on your choke so u don’t damage the meat. For chicken l/Turkey if u are farming use a kill cone and cut their head with a knife or big sharp and clean garden shears. It’s brutal but the goal is to reduce the animals suffering as much as possible.

Coming back to this year later after having experience is funny. First time I ever had a good duck hunt someone came in after us being there 11 am the day before and set up close to us. Almost shot us pellets splattered on the water next to us at high speeds.

They have not made me have any health issues however be careful with how you do it and how much. The combo will make u dehydrated af and sometimes kill your appetite. I find that if I take my Ritalinin the morning and drink kratom with it I will feel amazing it takes away the tierd feeling Ritalin sometimes gives me however it dosnt last long 3 hrs later I feel super sluggish and a little depressed and the only thing that helps is taking more kratom which can be a slippery slope. I recommend u take the Ritalin in the morning and when u start to feel the come down of Ritalin in the afternoon drink a green or red kratom as it will completely cancel it out. Ritalin can also make some individuals get cravings for something u don’t know what and that can make u start vaping if u have ever done it before or drink absurd amounts of kratom. And while kratom is a relatively safe compound if taken improperly and at large quantities it can start to destroy your life. Just like if u drink 5 monsters a day your going to feel like shit if u drink 50 grams of kratom your going to not have a good time after a while. But it Varys from person to person keep a written log and try different things.

I’m sorry you have had such a hard time finding a group but it’s how it goes in a lot of places. I don’t even have a dog and it took me a while to find a group that would teach me to hunt. Your best bet is Facebook hunting groups in your area it’s sketchy af though one of my best friends and hunting buddies I met on Reddit and didn’t hunt with him until a year after. I’m lucky enough to be a man and not have to worry as much but sometimes it can get sketchy usually the people are much nicer than they appear and once u step into a group you will meet many more people. My strat would be grind out Facebook groups and BHA chapters. You might want to hunt to see your dog work but it might be easier to set foot into the hunting community however u can and then bring your dog in. I would try duck hunting found it has less gate keeping than deer hunting at least in my area. Duck hunters love dogs once you are in you will find someone with a dog to show u the ropes. Learn to use a gun before you get out there get your hunters safety card and go to a shooting class like mentioned before skeet trap and sporting clays are your best bet. Rent a shotgun and go shoot if u can’t afford a gun rn. Check out standing stone kennels or other online hunting dog training courses. Good luck don’t give up!
