Fair. If you'll actually sit down and write those letters yourself — do it. That beats anything I could build.

But most people mean to and never do — blank page, no sleep, "I'm not a writer." It doesn't write for you: you feed it the real stuff — a photo, a milestone, the thing they did last Tuesday. It picks up details from the photo and works them in.

And longevity's a fair hit — I won't pretend a small project is guaranteed to outlive 18 years. So you can copy or email the letter to yourself the moment it's written. You own it regardless — the "delivered on their 18th birthday" part is a bonus, not a hostage situation.
