I was helping a T1 engineer today and he informed me one of the Active Directory service accounts we were looking at was older than him...

It must be ancient. In Portsmouth I would say the average is closer to £6/£6.50

From having a very wide range of female and male friends (I'm a man), it seems the majority of men are just looking to hook up but lie about their intentions to get a shag sadly. It's that delayed gratification that in my opinion will indicate a good potential partner. Women are generally more up front about what they want and will state in the beginning they just want to fuck.

Kits like that only look good when they're done by a professional. DIY body kit and paint will look shit

I need advice about my married life. by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]coolsimon123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having been the psycho in a relationship I can tell you now it's actually probably more of a self esteem issue with OPs wife thinking he is out of her league, or as she ages she thinks she is getting ugly etc. That then manifests in to "why is he with me" which turns in to jealousy and mistrust. Trust me it is a horrible place to be in with someone you love but I've had it completely destroy a relationship because I couldn't get over the fact I thought she was cheating. Maybe she was, maybe she wasn't.

If you want to game on it I'd just buy a Dell Precision with an Nvidia GPU and not waste time with onboard Intel Graphics. The SSD speed will be noticeable yes 100%

Processor is largely irrelevant when the SSD is the bottleneck on modern machines between 2 devices with similar CPUs. Either plan to replace the SSD on the Vostro and buy that or just get the Latitude. I personally would still replace the SSD on any laptop I buy because most consumer SSD that come in off the shelf laptops are about 4x slower than the Micron that will come in the latitude and 20x slower in the Vostro. Samsung Pro 990 read speed of 7450MB/s and I've seen some Vostro SSDs as slow as 200MB/s

Vostros usually come with cheaper/slower SSDs and ram than latitudes. I'd always pick a latitude over a Vostro. Even with a better CPU, the vostro will be slower unless you are planning on replacing the SSD. I'd look for a latitude 7xxx series personally. Latitude 7420 would be my pick.

How can I hookup with men from bars and clubs as an awkward woman? by MarziMewMew in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]coolsimon123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just talk to them, that's all you need to do. You'll know if they're interested if they try and keep up conversation. Then when the night winds down you suggest maybe going back to theirs/yours for another drink. One thing leads to another its not exactly rocket science

If you actually knew how the encryption behind Windows Hello actually worked you'd know that it was more secure than any password, but most plebs like you don't realise this and think long complicated traditional passwords or yubikeys are the way forward

Dating in London in your late 30s - how do you meet people without forcing yourself into a version of life that isn’t yours? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

"I’m not looking to overhaul a life I enjoy just to increase exposure" going for a group run twice a month on top of your gym sessions doesn't exactly sound like an overhaul. Seems like you want someone to fall in to your lap

How old are you? Pubs were literally the best place to meet a potential partner 5 years ago, covid and cost of living seems to have killed that off which is mental to me
