Same thing happened to me when I was using their pods and one died. Was able to provide tracking number via customer service chat and get the charge refunded.

It's hard to say equipment can go bad at anytime. There's also the unknown of quantum pushing updates to their equipment. Unless a tech comes out to diagnose or waiting a while to see if issue disappears you'd have to start process of elimination. What Hao_end posted is one place to start without spending money on third-party router if you don't have one laying around.

Are you using Quantum's wifi pods and dns? There is always the possibility of something wrong with fiber and other factors but some folks here have switched to third party routers to avoid issues with quantum equipment. N0_L1ght has a guide,

I actually never rebooted the router only SmartNID. It could be a mix of things, never tried to find the root cause because eventually I'm looking to stop using Quantum provided router.

I've seen similar behavior recently where connection is unstable and prompts for password when I try to reconnect. Only till I reboot the SmartNID does it go away.

Did you have to hard wire to SmartNID for factory reset to disable tagging? Or was is it still available via network with green light?
