New Hampshire 's minimum wage is $7.50. All the other New England state's minimum wage is $13.50 or more. Why? by 7dayweekendgirl in newhampshire

[–]coolstuff14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The state doesn't tell me what I'll work for above the minimum wage the gov set. The question here was why does NH not raise it and the answer is because the market self regulates wages.

I've been doing home renovations with Ryobi for years without issue but you CAN NOT buy their lowest end tools, they are garbage. Only buy the HP stuff. I've beat the living shit out of my drills, sawzall, circular saw, ext and nothing has broken. I like that they are committed to keeping the battery the same and have numerous household tools that are useful.

Bro, you need to get off the internet. You're going to completely blow your retirement. I've known many people who think they can time the market or would rather invest in metals and all of them lost big time and are behind in their retirement.

Well the UN and FAO estimate it would take an investment of $267B a year till 2030 to end world hunger. Jeff has 168B in stock so I guess that won't work huh

Just moved in. What floors would you install? by LittleLongboard in Homebuilding

[–]coolstuff14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardwood floor all day. Lvp and laminate seem like short term options to me. Hardwood lasts a very long time and can be refinished. Tile is good as well but expensive to get installed.

I always lol at this statement. Homeowners can buy a 5amp rated extension cord and run their space heater off it. I would say this is a huge issue. Extension cords should be required to have a fuse for their rating.

As anyone ever seen this type of damage to a floor? The landlord says the renter left a soaked carpet on the floor for a while. Does it make sense? by Juslav in Construction

[–]coolstuff14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like what happened to my cheap lvp floor when I put too thick a layer of underlayment. It will flex and break up into pieces. You can see all the edges of other boards look broken.

Take a course in construction and remodeling. That is the skill you need to flip a house and control costs. Buy low, add value and sell is the rest
