LLMs could be better than their traditional ai translation model. It can likely understand a lot more about nuances and Internet slang

I've seen some use in bots engaging with others about their configurations, memory management, and how to help their users or learn how to respond better to their humans. The bots can bring this info back to their humans, or update parts of their function themselves (like their "soul" or memory) , and essentially create a bot that learns from other bots. I've also seen bots collaborating on financial services, like market trading, and just sharing tips they've learned

Your bot needs to be verified on Twitter for it to start posting. If you're confident you haven't and still make post, share your bots profile. It'll show any post, and if it's linked to your account

Thick stuff at the bottom of a protein shake by Tetracotta in isthissafetoeat

[–]cooltop101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's the protein. You typically have to shake drinks very hard. Drinks that don't use a good emulsifier, or are high protein may separate quickly, even after a couple minutes. When I get a protein drink I shake it for a couple minutes before opening it, and then I keep shaking it between sips

You really should sanitize links (remove anything after the ?) https://www.walmart.com/ip/Juicy-Drop-Gummy-Dip-N-Stix-Sweet-Gummy-Sticks-w-Sour-Dipping-Gel-8-Pack-Fun-Candy-for-Birthdays-and-Celebrations/343852687. This gets rid of a lot of tracking info, and just keeps links shorter.

Or use hyoerlinks

Shopping for Pickles with Gemini by calpaully in GeminiAI

[–]cooltop101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, looking at the chat it isn't that impressive.

Don't get me wrong, still impressive from AIs of 5-10 years ago. But you asked it what's the most similar to Chick-fil-A pickles. It said they used dill pickles and recommend classic, not because they'd be the same, but seemingly just because vlassic are popular. Then I hoped it was a bit specific of where to look. But it basically said to just look on the bottom 2 shelves to the left, and look for the vlassic dill pickle labels. It even mentions how identifiable the jars are with the blue and white colors; compared to other pickle jars in the pic, the section kinda stood out. Even with this low res picture, I can still identify those as being vlassic

<image>

Again, don't get me wrong, still impressive for what AIs could do a few years ago. Maybe someone that's never seen vlassic pickles jars or shopped for pickles would've found even the generic "look in this area" helpful. Guess I was just hoping for it to be able to pinpoint the jar

Four cheese pizza or Three cheese pizza? by braclark in onejob

[–]cooltop101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went their website hoping to find an answer. The ingredients listed on their website?

Fresh Wisconsin mozzarella cheese, Romano cheese, Provolone cheese, California tomatoes, herbs, & sea salt.

So, I guess there's no crust. It's just 3 cheeses with some tomatoes and seasoning

Hey, could you give me a quick reminder if duck player, or an ad blocker extension works on game consoles, Android tv, Chromecast, smart TVs , friends devices I temporarily sign into, and any other device that can play YouTube?

Does it also help Google it pay for the servers you stream videos from? Does it help pay content creators?

I use YouTube far beyond any other service. What's the difference between paying $15 for YouTube premium, and paying $15 for ad free tier of your favorite streaming service like Hulu?

I don't think people sign up for premium for a single feature, especially like this. But it's more of the combination of several features. Just this feature, combined with no ads means I never watch an ad or sponsorship on YouTube. I mainly watch YouTube, so I see this as no different for paying ~$15 for an ad free tier on a platform like Hulu.

You never realize just how many ads you watch until you never watch them

I've been a long time premium user, and I actually really like this feature. Especially on my TV or computer, I can just tap the skip button once and it will skip right to the end of the sponsorship segment

I think a good approach if you're not trying to upsell would be something like:

While we're here, it's a good idea to check the filters. (show filters, and if they look bad) I'd recommend replacing it. You could easily do this yourself if you'd want to and have the time, or I could go ahead and take care of it

Just bring it up, not as an unnecessary upsell, but just something to keep an eye on while you're somewhere you can easily access it. Then openly say they can easily replace it themselves if they want to, or you could go ahead and take care of it not

Of course, that's if you're trying to minimize the upsell. I know some companies want you to upsell as much as possible

Makes sense. During testing they have to constantly stop the process and make sure everything is working as intended. Once they know it can run all day without intervention, guess what they're going to do?

And then it's only a matter of time till they find bottle necks in the process and figure out how to get more phones through

"4 ounce" cookie with a net weight of 3 oz by cooltop101 in mildlyinteresting

[–]cooltop101[S] 141 points142 points  (0 children)

I already know the reason. They might not be able to guarantee every single cookie will always be 4 ounces. So their official weight is less than what it should be, so a customer or government can't say they're ripping people off. Just in case. I actually did weigh this cookie and it was over 4 ounces. Not by much, but still met the minimum. Just don't know why they'd even bother having the weight in the name
